\n\n Role: Service/Interaction Designer \n\n \n\n Day Rate: £500 - £550 \n\n \n\n Contract Length: 6 months \n\n \n\n Location: Manchester (Remote at the moment) \n\n \n\n IR35 Status: Inside \n\n \n\n *Portfolio required* \n\n \n\nAs a Senior Service Designer, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will work alongside other designers, Front End developers, researchers and software engineers.\n\n \n\nAs a service designer you will be expected to engage with policy experts, product owners and product team to design the end-to-end journey which may involve the creation of, or change to, transactions, products and content across both digital and offline channels provided by different parts of government.\n\n \n\n As a Service/Interaction Designer you will: \n\n \n\n-Analyze failure within services and identify root causes for that failure\n\n \n\n-Understand user needs and identify where separate interactions with government should act as one service that meet that need\n\n \n\n-Understand the existing supporting system of a service and design targeted improvements to that system to accommodate the new service - both digital and process based\n\n \n\n-Specialise in designing interactions and interfaces for digital services\n\n \n\n-Work on all levels of the service, from high-level flows and journeys to the fine detail of individual parts\n\n \n\n-Work with different types of content and user-led interactions\n\n \n\n-Understand the technical side of design\n\n \n\n Essential Skills \n\n \n\n-At least 2 to 3 years' experience as a service designer or systems thinker. \n\n \n\n-Experience solving design and research challenges through collaboration and user participation. \n\n \n\n-The ability to translate research insight into opportunities and solutions for service users via the application of design research methods eg user journeys, services mapping, prototyping etc. \n\n \n\n-Ability to develop hands on interaction design solutions for the products that enable the service\n\n \n\n-A diverse set of methods & tools that allow you to illustrate the opportunities to improve specific -service components and touchpoints. \n\n \n\n-Have a design-related degree or experience on a product, interaction or UX design role.\n\n \n\n-Define elements - layout, design patterns, controls and actions\n\n \n\nIf you are interested, please apply wand I will be in touch ASAP.\n\n \n\nLawrence Harvey is acting as an Employment Business in regards to this position. \n\n
