AfC Band 5 Team Administrator - National Workforce Skills Development Unit (NWSDU)
An exciting, developmental opportunity within busy, high-volume and friendly National Workforce Skills Development Unit awaits the right candidate. The Unit supports and facilitates the development of the national mental health and learning disabilities workforce. In doing so, the Unit specifies, manages, and is accountable for national projects with a focus on strategic workforce issues throughout the NHS in support of the NHS Five Year Forward View and Long-Term Plan.
A flexible approach is essential to support the priorities that may alter within the projects life cycles. Knowledge of NHS and social care would be helpful, as would knowledge and experience of workforce development. The team administrator will support the work of the NWSDU through the skilful development and application of robust administrative systems.
The post holder will provide business support to the Deputy Director and Senior Programme Lead in the delivery of the Units project portfolio by ensuring that all targets, deadlines and objectives are delivered as appropriate. The post holder will support the Units Project Management Office (PMO) approach and team administrative activity. The Administrator will work with and support project managers who have lead roles in the financial, communications, human resources, procurement and IM&T activities of the Unit.
