About The Role

We’re on the lookout for Chef De Parties to join us in one of the UK’s most unique Papa John’s venues—one of only two restaurant-style Papa John’s locations in the country offering a full dine-in and buffet experience.
 
This isn’t your typical takeaway—it’s a vibrant kitchen where you’ll help deliver pizza perfection moments as part of the holiday magic.


As a Chef de Partie, your responsibilities in this role will be a key factor in our kitchen. You will be support the Junior Kitchen Manager and oversee the daily operation in your own section, ensuring efficiency and compliance with food safety policies.
 
You will also maintain a clean and organised workstation, always adhering the health and safety regulations demonstrating these responsibilities as a behaviour standard to the Commis Chefs you will lead, train and mentor with guidance and support as needed. 

You’ll be guaranteed 35 hours per week, working to a rota of 5 days out of 7 which will include weekends. 

Our shifts require flexibility, they range from early starts at 7am to late finishes - especially when you're scheduled in our Papa John's pizza van, which stays open until 4am on our Big Weekenders. 

Live in accommodation may be available if over 18 and relocating to the area subject to a DBS check.


Key Responsibilities

We are looking for individuals with experience in a similar level role. 

 Ideally you will hold Level 3 Food Safety qualification, however not essential.

As with any chef role at this level, you will also be responsible for managing margins and controlling costs and all things health, safety and hygiene related.

You will need to be hard working and determined, a reliable person who likes to get things done and who will look for better ways for the team to consistently deliver our brand standards.

As a community based Non-Medial Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber at our Lincolnshire Recovery Service, you’ll make a real difference as you empower and enable people to change. Role Responsibility

As a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will be involved with opiate substitute treatment (OST) interventions, benzodiazepine reductions, alcohol and opiate detoxifications and relapse prevention medications. You will also provide support for health care assessments, administering detoxification medication for clients, administering pabrinex , completing alcohol and opiate detoxification assessments, providing Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screening and vaccinations and will work closely with mental health, physical health and social care services. You’ll also help to create a collaborative approach that links Turning Point ever closer to outside professionals and agencies.

You will attend a local prescribers meeting, one to one clinical supervision and national prescriber/clinician meetings which will also support your learning and continuous professional development. Full training and supervision is provided from our Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead. You will have a real opportunity to help shape service delivery and contribute to delivering clinically excellent services.

As an employee you will have access to RCNi to assist with revalidation, indemnity insurance and support from the Clinical Lead, Clinical Services Manager, Turning Point’s Head of Nursing and Head of Medicines Optimisation and Pharmacy Services.

The Ideal Candidate

Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or a qualified Pharmacist and already a qualified independent prescriber, you will need to be confident managing all aspects of prescribing for opiates and managing alcohol detoxifications.

You will join an established team in Lincolnshire, you will need to be an excellent communicator and highly organised, you will have the ability to develop support packages that are creative, flexible, and tailored to the needs of everyone. What we are looking for

About our Nursery Our beautiful Newcastle Upon Tyne 110 place nursery has an Ofsted rating of Good, has a large team with many longstanding staff members who are passionate about providing an exciting and engaging learning environment for all children from babies to pre-school. We have a large outdoor area. Based in Cobalt Business Park near Silverlink Retail Park, we are close to bus and metro links, as well as having free onsite parking.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations for the Level 2 Catering Apprentice: Assist in planning and preparing nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements and adhere to food safety standards. Support the delivery of high-quality catering services, ensuring a positive experience for all customers. Build effective relationships with team members and contribute to a positive kitchen environment. Help maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas. Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure the well-being of customers and staff. Work towards achieving the apprenticeship standards set by Busy Bees Education and Training, with the aim of completing your program within the agreed timeframe. Be proactive and eager to learn new skills within the kitchen setting. Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and improvement. Communicate regularly with your line manager about tasks and progress within the kitchen. As a Level 2 Catering Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced culinary professionals who will mentor and support you throughout your apprenticeship. You will attend tailored Learning & Development courses that will provide you with essential knowledge and skills for your role. A Development Coach will visit you regularly at the nursery to assess your work, acknowledge your progress, and provide guidance to help you succeed in your apprenticeship.
