Responsibilities

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Client-specific and proactive support of dedicated CSS customers to ensure operational excellence of APEX in the Cloud. Technical understanding Oracle DB Architecture is required
  • Act as a trusted technology advisor for our CSS customers with a deep knowledge of the customer's requirements and environments
  • Maintain effective professional relationships within the global CSS practice, with Oracle Technical Account Managers (TAM), Oracle Product Support and customer staff at various levels
  • In close cooperation with the Technical Account Manager, act as a customer advocate within the Oracle eco system
  • Customer solution architecture advice and reviews, conceptual support (e.g. Security, High Availability, Performance, maintainability)
  • Technical assistance with SW installation & Configuration, health checks, applying best practices for modern IT environments
  • Performance assessments and tuning assistance for Apex based reporting deployments
  • Proactive Upgrade and Patch Management advice Implementation planning,
  • Advise customers on product evolutions and features, avoidance of predictable issues
  • Lead to innovation by Knowledge Transfer, prepare and deliver technical workshops or training, designed to educate customers or peers on technology related updates

You bring the following qualifications:
+ A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent experience, plus relevant software engineering experience.
+ Experience in full-stack development, with working knowledge of frontend (e.g., JavaScript) and backend (e.g., Python, Java) technologies.
+ Experience with databases, data analytics (SQL/NoSQL, ETL/ELT), and APIs (REST, GraphQL).
+ Experience working on cloud-native architectures in a public cloud environment, ideally AWS.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to think strategically to optimize for long-term goals.

Software Engineer (C/C++) – £45K–£5K + Bonus + Work from home / WFH – Leicester/Leicestershire/Nottingham/Nottinghamshire Area

We’re looking for a Software Engineer (C/C++) to join our team developing industry-leading data acquisition, automation, and data management platforms. Our software supports engineering R&D in areas such as fuel cells, batteries, propulsion systems, and next-generation technology.

As a Software Engineer you will be involved in:

    < i>Designing and developing real-time software in C/C++ (Windows / QNX).
  • Contributing to system architecture and design concepts.
  • Developing device drivers and real-time components.
  • Writing and maintaining automated tests for code validation & verification.
  • Collaborating with global development teams in an agile environment (SCRUM/Kanban).

Your background as a Software Engineer:

  • You might currently be a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or Software Development Engineer looking for a role with more flexibility, cutting-edge projects, and long-term career prospects.
  • Strong experience with C/C++ software development in a real-time environment.
  • Ideally, experience with Windows and/or BlackBerry QNX.
  • A degree in software, engineering, scientific or technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools.
