About the Role:
As an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) for Coaching Apprenticeships, your primary responsibility is to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality coaching programmes aligned to awarding body and regulatory expectations. You will lead quality improvement activities, coach tutors, and ensure that formative and summative assessments are fit-for-purpose and effectively support learners' development.
The role is critical in driving continuous improvement, maintaining compliance with Ofsted, DfE, and other regulatory requirements, and ensuring that learners receive a high-value, professionally enriching experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Quality Assurance
- Conduct sampling activities in line with risk-based IQA strategies.
- Innovate assessment practices, integrating learner-centred and engaging methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with awarding organisations, Ofsted, DfE funding requirements.
- Provide clear, supportive feedback to tutors to foster professional growth.
- Support tutors in ensuring timely progression to Gateway and End Point Assessment (EPA)/ Assessment Organsations.
- Lead and participate in standardisation and external quality assurance (EQA) visits.
- Monitor coaching portfolios, CPD evidence, Functional Skills progress, and EPA readiness.
Tutor Support & Development
- Coach and mentor tutors, particularly in formative assessment practices and learner engagement strategies.
- Support tutors in achieving and maintaining IQA and assessor qualifications.
- Facilitate induction training and continuing professional development (CPD).
- Promote reflective practice and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Improvement
- Contribute to the development of the Self-Assessment Review (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Collaborate across departments to implement innovative quality strategies.
- Attend and lead CPD, professional development, and cross-functional improvement sessions.
Administration
- Ensure accuracy in onboarding documentation within BUD.
- Maintain robust records of tutor CPD and sampling activity.
Safeguarding & Equality
- Promote Best Practice Network's values regarding safeguarding, diversity, and equality.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Officer for your coaching delivery region.
Essential:
- Occupational competence in Coaching and or mentoring
- A recognised Level 5 Coaching and/or Mentoring qualification, or higher.
- Relevant experience or qualifications in quality assurance (e.g., TAQA, A1, V1, D32/33).
- Demonstrable CPD in coaching and/or mentoring over the past three years
- Experience in assessment and/or internal quality assurance within Coaching or within apprenticeships
- Clear understanding or experience of the ILM Diploma in coaching or similar
Desirable:
- Membership in professional bodies such as:
- Association for Coaching (AC)
- European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC)
- International Coach Federation (ICF)
- Prior experience with EQA processes and regulator liaison.
- Deep knowledge of DfE funding rules, Ofsted Education Inspection Framework, and other sector standards.
Other Requirements:
- Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiar with BUD or similar learner management systems.
- Ability to coach and influence professionals at varying levels of seniority.
- Driving licence and an ability to travel to settings

About the Role:
This post will holistically plan, co-ordinate, mentor and support on training and assessment for apprentices based in the Early Years sector for level 5. Knowledge and experience from working in the Early Years sector will be shared with apprentices to ensure they achieve their programme at the highest possible level and in a timely fashion.
Assessment
Complete skills reviews with apprentices and employers and identify skill and knowledge gaps
Develop and take responsibility for the delivery of individual training plans tailored to candidate needs
Maintain records relevant to individual candidates
Undertake observations in the workplace
Support the delivery of high-quality training to exceed awarding body quality standards, including functional skills, in the workplace as appropriate to the candidates' requirements
Assess Skills and behaviours and feedback to learners using the ePortfolio system.
Training
Develop individual action plans tailored to candidate needs
Support the delivery of training using approved training resources in the workplace to cover Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours.
English and Maths - Training, monitoring, supporting, recording and reporting to ensure successful completion in partnership with FS specialist
Provide tutorial support including key training for the Apprentice (and Employer around Prevent and British Values), Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare, Safeguarding and any additional learning support requirements
Supporting with remote online delivery of webinars to groups of apprentices
Train and promote British Values and Prevent, mental health and well-being, careers information and guidance and train on topics such as Sexual Exploitation and being safe online
Co-ordination and Support
Monitor candidate progress and provide support in completion of portfolios, end point assessments and other evidence setting targets to ensure timely completion
Detailing, monitoring, recording and reporting of ALS
Supply information to employees and employers to support apprenticeship programmes
Liaise with Line Manager's to facilitate Reviews and appraisals
Provide appropriate data and information regarding the programme and learners as required and contribute to the regular self-assessment monitoring process
Take responsibility for the quality of the start-up pack (on-boarding) and evidence base for each apprentice
Attend CPD and Standardisation events as appropriate remotely and at Bristol Head Office three times per year and attend Company Conferences in Bristol as required
Support the apprentice and employer as part of the end Point Assessment process
Administration
Complete all relevant documentation in order to progress the signing up and recording of new candidates on the programme
Maintain documentation that records the progress of candidates on programme against specified targets
Complete documentation in relation to visits to employers, candidate reviews, assessment visits and any other such appointments that evidence, support and maintain relationships with candidates and employers
Ensure timely achievement of all students on programme and complete the required documentation to achieve Gateway and End Point Assessment
Other
Any other duties connected with the post as are reasonably required from time to time

Job Role
The main Job role of the Kart Driver Simulation Coaching Engineer is providing a World Class coaching service to kart drivers and building karting simulators to satisfy client orders.The main Job role includes the following:
- Providing world class simulation coaching both in person at our facility in Silverstone and virtually through our online coaching service.
- Assemble hardware required for karting simulators across our range of Esports, Pro and Motion simulators.
- Configure and calibrate sensors needed for the simulators
- Install and configure necessary software required on bespoke built gaming PC’s required for the operation of the simulator
- Fully test the simulator to ensure it passes all quality controls before shipping to customer.
- Provide aftersales technical support to customers
- Installation of simulators at client location in the UK.
The Kart Driver Simulation Coaching Engineer will also from time to time be asked assist in other areas of the business namely:
- Provide demonstrations of our product both at our headquarters and at events
- Help maintaining accurate stock for parts required for simulator builds
- Assisting in testing new software and hardware releases
- Providing ideas at design meetings with senior members of staff.
- Ensuring the working environment is kept clean and tidy.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous coaching experience coaching karting drivers with demonstrable evidence of helping drivers improve, develop and become more successful
- An in-depth knowledge of the karting industry preferably with previous kart racing experience
- A passion for the motorsport simulation industry
- Experience in mechanics or a relevant qualification
