- Lead design activities for circuits, PCBAs, and systems using Altium CAD
- Work in a team on multiple projects at any one time * Drive problem-solving activities, Deriving Root Cause Analysis investigations.
- Review and understand customer requirement specifications. * Perform engineering calculations, circuit simulations, and tolerance analysis.
- Estimate, budget and scope out new design concepts
- Identify project risk, where appropriate offer plans to mitigate risk * Use Altium to create, develop, store, and control PCBA designs and cable forms
- Lead the engineering verification and validation processes, including the use of DFMEA, DOE, CDR fault finding, protocols, and reports
- Design and development of prototype circuits and test equipment
- Have a good understanding of international electrical and electronic specifications, including military standards and related specifications.
- Have a good understanding of PCB design standards and materials that comply to the latest AS9100 and IPC standards, including REACH and RosH regulations

Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in electrical/electronic engineering;10 years' experience minimum

- Experience with Altium and generation of detailed technical drawings. Experience in design within a regulated environment.
- Knowledge and some experience of systems engineering would be advantageous
- Experience or knowledge of LCD/TFT touch screen displays, video drivers etc would be advantageous, as would LED lighting circuits.
- Leadership qualities, including leading and developing engineers.
- Expert knowledge in EMC design and debugging, FPGA development, embedded development, PCB design, and manufacture

- Excellent communication skills, specifically with clients, subcontractors & suppliers.
