Our client, a globally recognized leader in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is looking for an experienced and data-driven Remote Consumer Insights Manager to join their expanding team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for uncovering deep consumer understanding that informs product innovation, marketing strategies, and business growth. You will leverage a variety of research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative, to gather and analyze consumer data, identifying key trends, unmet needs, and behavioral patterns. This role demands a strategic thinker who can translate complex data into actionable insights and compelling narratives. You will work closely with marketing, product development, and sales teams to ensure consumer needs are at the forefront of all business decisions.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Designing and managing consumer research projects using a range of methodologies (surveys, focus groups, ethnography, social listening, data analytics).
  • Analyzing large datasets to identify consumer trends, market opportunities, and competitive landscape insights.
  • Developing comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborating with product development to translate insights into new product concepts and improvements.
  • Partnering with marketing to shape communication strategies and optimize campaign effectiveness based on consumer understanding.
  • Monitoring the competitive environment and identifying emerging threats and opportunities.
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of the FMCG market and consumer behavior within it.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with external research agencies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in consumer insights, market research, or brand management, preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong command of qualitative and quantitative research techniques and statistical analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Tableau).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
