What You Will Do as Technical Project Manager;
- Drive the delivery of engineering projects, focusing on embedded software and hardware integration, ensuring quality, cost, and time objectives are achieved
- Accurately forecast project resources, budgets, and timelines, collaborating with technical leads to allocate engineering resources effectively
- Prepare and maintain Work Breakdown Structures for engineering activities, ensuring seamless project execution
- Provide governance updates to the Programme Manager, covering budgets, timing, risks, issues, opportunities, and lessons learned
- Monitor and report on defect resolution and quality standards across the software team, ensuring continuous improvement
- Support operational assembly and testing activities for production vehicles, ensuring smooth integration of new technologies
What You Will Bring as Technical Project Manager;
- A relevant engineering degree or equivalent with proven technical industry knowledge
- Proven experience in managing technical software projects, particularly in real-time and embedded systems
- Strong knowledge of Agile project management methods, including Kanban and Scrum

- The ability to achieve SC clearance and a continuous improvement mindset

We're looking for a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to join our client's Engineering team, driving the delivery of exciting new consumer product launches to market.
In this role, you'll act as a key link between Design, Engineering, and cross-functional business teams, working closely with the Design Manager and Engineers to ensure projects hit deadlines, align globally, and deliver best-in-class results.
What you'll be doing
- Aligning and prioritising daily Engineering tasks and deliverables.
- Driving projects through the full lifecycle, from concept to launch.
- Ensuring global teams remain aligned on direction, progress, and key issues.
- Maintaining project schedules to meet retailer requirements.
- Leading internal team meetings and setting up project plans.
- Tracking technical issues via the project management system.
- Supporting legacy products and preparing updates for executive reviews.
What you'll bring
- Engineering background with 2+ years' experience in project management or an engineering role (project management preferred).
- Experience managing full lifecycle projects within plastics or consumer products a plus.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and limitations.
- Hands-on, proactive approach with excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Skilled in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint).
- SolidWorks or CREO experience desirable.
- Comfortable working at pace and presenting to senior stakeholders, with board or executive level exposure an advantage.

This role demands strong technical direction, supplier management, and program/risk oversight in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Also, good electronics design / development experience would be needed. (e.g. FPGA, ASIC or highspeed network interface or optical transceiver design for photonic devices or similar.)
Candidates may have worked in other arenas involving highspeed network technologies (e.g. network, and data centre hardware, telecoms systems, storage / servers / HPC, consumer electronics or specialist test and measurement products).
