The team

This team is a highly successful and motivated team of valuers focused on predominantly high value loan security valuations across central London and the prime Home Counties (typical property value range £1m - £00m+). Instructions typically include single unit house and flat valuations, investment properties, portfolios and residential developments.

The role

Instructions typically include single unit house and flat valuations, investment properties, portfolios and residential developments. Clients comprise a wide range of lending institutions (private and retail banks) and we are seeking a candidate to take responsibility as Key Account Manager for a range of lenders, with a view to building on existing relationships through hard work, outperformance and targeted business development.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake residential development valuations, ranging from small-scale projects
  • Encouraging client contact and development at all levels
  • Internal networking seeking to introduce other service lines to existing clients and their customers
  • Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Preparation of valuations using Argos Developer and Investor

Recent instructions include:

  • Valuation on 12 apartments in a luxury Knightsbridge development with a Market Value in excess of 0m
  • Valuation of a rare quadruplex on Eaton Square with a Market Value in excess of 0m
  • Valuation of one of the largest residential plots in central London, a Grade II (star) Listed house with a Market Value in excess of 0m
  • Valuation providing opinions of Market Values and Market Rents on a proposed luxury development of apartments in Kensington, with a Gross Development Value in excess of 00m
  • Valuation providing opinions of Market Values and Market Rents on a total of 175 residential units, ranging from studio flats to 4 bedroom penthouse flats, with an aggregate Market Value in excess of 50m
  • Valuation of one of the largest speculatively built mansions to be constructed in Surrey in the last 25 years, measuring in excess of 50,000 sq ft.

Requirements

  • MRICS level or equivalent professional qualification
  • Ideally someone at Senior Surveyor or Surveyor level in residential valuations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling the development of good relationships with both clients and colleagues
  • Numerate and ability to grasp the essentials of supply and demand in the property environment
  • Organised and high attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Desire and ability to assist in the continued growth of the team

What does the role entail?

As a Relationship Manager you will be primarily responsible for driving profitable volume growth through value added sales and service of Commercial / SME customers. You will target and manage an assigned portfolio of customers within the commercial credit business segments. The key challenge in this role is to manage both existing and grow new corporate portfolios and to read early warning signs that could affect the portfolio health.
