This role involves leading and executing complex research projects focused on the discovery and development of novel therapeutic agents. You will be responsible for designing experimental protocols, conducting advanced laboratory experiments, analysing data, and interpreting results to drive the drug discovery pipeline forward. This position demands a strong scientific background, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage research projects independently.

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Medicinal Chemistry) and possess substantial post-doctoral or industry research experience. Expertise in specific therapeutic areas or cutting-edge research techniques (e.g., high-throughput screening, in vivo pharmacology, bioinformatics) is highly desirable. You should be adept at problem-solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting experimental challenges. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for preparing research reports, publishing findings, and presenting results to scientific teams and stakeholders. The ability to mentor junior researchers and contribute to a collaborative research environment is also crucial.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading independent research projects from conception to completion.
  • Designing and optimising experimental methodologies and protocols.
  • Performing complex laboratory experiments and accurately recording data.

  • Developing new assays and research techniques.
