Supervise the work of staff on the team including coaching, supporting and training junior members of the team and direct line management of a small team.
Deliver high quality technical analysis of regulatory risks and requirements applicable to specific activities and embed these into the operations of Testing and support senior management in the identification and mitigation of these risks.
Assist Testing management in the creation and delivery of the departmentu2019s Assurance Plan by identifying key areas of focus for reviews


Assist in the periodic review of relevant procedures, systems and controls to determine whether they are up to date and effective to identify/ facilitate remedial action where necessary.
Provide regular MI for periodic Compliance reports to senior management.
Act as a Compliance SME and/or support staff participation in Compliance technology or regulatory implementation projects, staff training, procedures and administration tasks as necessary.
Demonstrate and share knowledge of UK and EU regulatory developments and provide practical and immediate interpretation of regulations in the context of the firmu2019s business activities.

**Role Overview**

**What we need from you**
+ Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions in the financial services industry - Audit experienced considerably advantageous

+ Experienced in control related functions in the financial industry
+ Proven experience in implementing sustainable solutions and improving processes
+ Understanding of compliance laws, rules, regulations, and best practices

You will be required to carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRS), installations, servicing, repairs, and rewires of mainly domestic properties.
Your duties will include:

  • Inspecting and testing electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment in domestic and commercial properties
  • Identifying and documenting defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards
  • Providing clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions
  • Ensuring all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations
  • Delivering a 'right work at the right time' repair service, ensuring minimal disruption to the tenant.
  • This will include undertaking electrical repairs linked to Non-Licensed Asbestos associated work (full in-house training and equipment will be provided).

Qualifications and Skills

  • 18th edition or equivalent experience
  • C&G 2391 Testing & Installation (Desirable but not essential)
  • Good communication and decision-making skills
  • Full Clean Driving Licence
  • Experience of carrying out electrical work within the housing sector would be an advantage but is not essential

Our clients are a large Multi National M&E Contractor who consistently have large scale, high end jobs on thrpughout the UK

They are currently recruiting for an Electrician to undertake testing whilst they are 2nd fixing a luxury residential block in Canary Wharf

£30 ph, contract work with scope to stay longer if performance is strong 

We are looking for Electricians who have their testing qualification and have the relevant cards to work on an active site
