We are searching for a passionate Wine Waiter at Tap & Bottle, located inside the historic Grade II listed Devonshire House, Tap & Bottle creates a cosy, wine bar experience offering a diverse collection of more than 100 specialist wines, snacks and small plates.

ROLE : Wine Waiter – Tap & Bottle at London Bridge 

RATE : £11.50ph plus Service Charge

REPORTS TO : General Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting the general manager in the day to day running of the wine bar
• Preparing and serving wine to customers
• Having the knowledge/ confidence to talk about the wines and recommend from our list
• Willing to learn and undertake the appropriate training of wine and food offering
• Providing a high level of consistent customer service
• Ensuring the regular customers are looked after and their preferences remembered
• Maintaining the bar area, always looking for new ways to display and show off the wine
• Washing and polishing glassware
• Replenishing stock when needed before, during and after shift
• Complying and following licensing regulations
• Working as part of a team to deliver excellent customer experience
• Undertake other duties commensurate with grade and role, Eg, preparing small cold plates
• Be at work on time ready to be on the floor of your starting time

Wine Manager:

We are currently looking for a Wine Manager to be our onsite expert for all things wine in our award winning restaurant.  

The Wine Manager is responsible for:

• Education/Training: Inspiring and developing the restaurant (both BoH and FoH) team in their understanding of, and ability to sell and serve wine
• Procurement: Curating and sourcing new wines for our list
• Service: Having an active and high-level presence on the floor during services
• Finances: Ensuring the list runs smoothly, both operationally and financially

Location: Knightsbridge, London
Salary: 37,000 - 40,000 per annum + KPI-based Bonus

About the Role:
A prestigious fine wine and spirits retailer is seeking an experienced, ambitious, and charismatic Assistant Manager to support the leadership of a newly launched luxury store. This elegant retail space offers an exceptional selection of premium spirits, collectable whiskies, fine wines, and liqueurs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager in recruiting, training, and leading a high-performing team focused on delivering outstanding customer service.
• Build long-term relationships with clients through expert product knowledge and personalised service.
• Assist in executing the annual marketing calendar, including in-store tastings, events, and promotional campaigns.
• Manage stock levels, oversee inventory processes, and ensure accurate stock control.
• Identify commercial opportunities and contribute strategic insights to drive growth.
• Collaborate with the Buying Manager to maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity to support business strategy.

Key Qualifications:

• WSET Level 3 in Wine and/or Spirits (or equivalent) is essential.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Passion for fine wines, champagne, and premium spirits.
