Role Overview:
You will be a Senior Private Client Solicitor with 5+ years PQE, ready to handle a diverse and varied caseload, including complex estate planning and elderly client matters. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a team of 8 other fee earners and the full support of a legal secretary.
This role provides a clear path for career development and future leadership within the firm, making it an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and advise on inheritance tax planning
- Manage elderly client matters, including administering estates and providing Court of Protection advice
- Creation and administration of trusts, as well as estate and trust accounting and tax management
- Provide expert guidance on trust and estate disputes, with a focus on client care and dispute resolution
- Lead on client meetings and maintain strong client relationships, offering tailored legal solutions
- Manage a varied caseload with support from a full-time legal secretary
About You:
- 5+ years PQE in private client law with a strong background in estate planning, inheritance tax, trusts and elderly client matters
- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build long-lasting relationships
- Strong technical knowledge of Wills, Trusts and Estates
- A STEP qualification is desirable but not essential
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Desire for career progression and interest in succession planning

Its busy Residential Property Department handles a wide range of conveyancing matters for a loyal client base. Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an enthusiastic Paralegal to join its friendly Wokingham office.
The Role:
You will provide key support to the firm’s Conveyancing Solicitors on a variety of residential property transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to develop conveyancing skills within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Duties include:
- Opening new files and ensuring they are fully compliant with regulatory and internal procedures
- Preparing and issuing draft contract packs to purchasers’ Solicitors
- Assisting with post-exchange administration and completion preparation
- Drafting and submitting Certificates of Title (COTs)
- Carrying out final searches prior to completion
- Preparing and submitting SDLT returns and AP1 applications to HM Land Registry
- Dealing with Land Registry requisitions promptly and accurately
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other third parties as required
Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal within a residential property team
- Good understanding of the conveyancing process from file opening through to post-completion
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident IT skills, including case management systems
- Excellent communication and client care abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
