The Role

The Operations teams are currently recruiting Weekend Engineering Supervisor to join the Jupiter Road site, in Norwich.  The role will predominantly be based on Saturday and Sunday nights (6pm -6am) plus two 8hr shifts during the week. There is an expectation of reasonable hours of overtime to be worked in line with business needs.

Previous experience working within a factory/operations environment or working shifts will be an advantage.  Full on the job training will be provided to develop the necessary skills for this specialised role.

Main Tasks:

  • Supervision and management of all engineering functions over the weekend period. 
  • li >Ensuring the whole team operate under a safety-first policy and set a high standard of health and safety by leading by example.
  • Lead the Friday and Monday weekend engineering update meetings by ensuring effective communication to and from all departments.
  • Monitoring the work of engineers to ensure that they are adhering to best engineering practice.
  • Evaluating employee performance and providing feedback to help them improve their skills
  • Perform Corrugator maintenance by carrying out effective preventative maintenance procedures, timely calibration work and safety checks.
  • Installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Monitoring and adjusting equipment and process conditions to ensure “right first time” quality is achieved.
  • Maximising equipment utilisation by carrying out effective preventative maintenance procedures, timely calibrations, and routine safety checks on all processing equipment.
  • Promoting an environment of continuous improvement at all times and assisting in process improvement projects.

Key requirements of these roles include an ability to:

  • Follow health and safety policies and procedures and be proactive in supporting a positive health and safety culture.
  • Adhere to defined procedures and performance standards to ensure operations are compliant with the required quality standards to meet customer requirements.
  • Communicate with all team members to ensure that a high-quality handover takes place.

Key Competencies:

Applicants must be Apprenticeship trained/HNC qualified in an electrical or mechanical discipline although both mechanical and electrical experience in a manufacturing environment is needed.  The following skills are also required:

Mechanical

    li >Understanding hydraulic systems
  • Understanding pneumatic systems
  • Experience of steam systems
  • Experience of mechanical drive systems (Power transmission)

ESSENTIAL:

We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to work in a fast-paced meat processing facility . This role involves working on a production line handling raw and processed meat products, ensuring quality, hygiene, and food safety standards are met at all times.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work on various stages of the production line (cutting, packing, weighing, labelling, etc.)
  • Handle raw meat safely and efficiently
  • Operate machinery and equipment (training provided)
  • Ensure all products meet quality and hygiene standards
  • Follow health & safety and food hygiene procedures at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area
  • Any other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in food production or a meat factory is advantageous but not essential (full training provided)
  • Comfortable working in cold/chilled environments (0–13°C)
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Good understanding of hygiene, food safety, and health & safety procedures (training provided)
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Shift pattern:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 06:00 - 17:00

Minibus Driver

Care Home: To be based at St Michael's Court, covering Norfolk

Hours per week: Bank hours

Salary: 12.22 an hour

About the role:

We are looking for an outgoing and friendly Minibus Driver to support our homes in the area. Our Minibus Drivers work with our homes to facilitate planned events, day trips and short outings to local shops and restaurants.

About you:

We are looking for a Minibus Driver with excellent people skills and a flexible approach. You will be organised with great time-keeping skills, as you will be required to manage your diary for bookings across the homes in your portfolio.

Our Minibus Drivers must have Category D1 on their driving license.
