- Ensure that the Cabinet and the Council’s strategy and business planning and performance management process identifies resource needs, including a Human Resource Strategy which must reflect principles of Equal Opportunities and employee and Member development.
- Communicate and gain commitment of employees to the aims and objectives of the Council and the standards, behaviour and performance expected of them.
- Provide advice, assistance and support to the Leader and the Chairman of the Council in their respective role, and in particular their relations with external partners.

The Chief Inspector will ensure that work being produced on the shop floor conforms to customer drawings, CAD models or conditions of supply.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the Inspection Area and function.
- Supervising, coaching and encouraging other members of the Inspection team.
- Taking instruction from the senior management team (SMT) on what is required for throughput, managing resources in inspection to achieve them and to communicate on the status of works orders.
- Evaluating the process in the inspection department and give suggestions on continual improvements to SMT.

- Ability to generate AS9102 FAIRs (High-QA experience would be a bonus)

The Chief Inspector will ensure that work being produced on the shop floor conforms to customer drawings, CAD models or conditions of supply.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the Inspection Area and function.
- Supervising, coaching and encouraging other members of the Inspection team.
- Taking instruction from the senior management team (SMT) on what is required for throughput, managing resources in inspection to achieve them and to communicate on the status of works orders.
- Evaluating the process in the inspection department and give suggestions on continual improvements to SMT.
- Ensuring that processes such as first offs and card being stamped are being observed out on the shopfloor.
- Quality assurance activities: - First off, in process/stage, final inspection, FAI reporting.
- CMM programming.
- CMM maintenance and arranging repairs.
- Aiding in the investigation of product non-conformities both internal and external.
- Attending shop floor SQCDP meetings.
- Customer communication as required.
To be considered for this role, applicants will need to have previous experience in a similar inspection/quality control role in at a senior level, within an engineering or manufacturing environment, producing complex, high precision, low volume components.
You will need to have some of the following:
- Experience as a C-Dmis CMM Programmer
- Understanding of EN 9100:2018
- Ability to generate AS9102 FAIRs (High-QA experience would be a bonus)
- Experience in raising release documents - Dispatch notes and CofCs
- Experience of taking part in MRB meetings and quality investigations

Reporting into the Head of Finance and with responsibility for a small team, your role will be to provide strategic financial and commercial services and advice across the organisation to enable the Council's planning and operational activity to be delivered in sustainable and cost effective ways. You role will also ensure the production and reporting of accurate financial accounting information, production of the MTFS and delivery of the Council's grouped statement of accounts in accordance with the statutory deadlines.
This is a key role in the Finance team and your role will include:
