As a Credit Controller based in our office in Bury St Edmunds on a hybrid working, 12 month fixed term contract basis your role will be dealing with incoming calls and emails, releasing orders for delivery, daily contact with tenants and field-based personnel.
To provide excellent customer service whilst collecting cash payments for the business. This includes the ability to work well under pressure in a changing environment as well as meeting deadlines/targets.

Qualifications
**Please note that this is a 12 months FTC**
Your role as Credit Controller
- Manage own ledger, ensuring overdue debt is chased but also escalated quickly to avoid unnecessary risk
- Collection of payments in a timely manner
- Releasing orders within scheduled timeframes and to deadline
- Resolve disputed invoices in a timely manner to ensure collection of cash
- Liaise with the legal team on irrecoverable debt
- Day to day administration support e.g. copy invoices, statements, customer accounts etc
- Deal with telephone and email queries within SLA
- Build excellent relationships with tenants and field based personnel as well as peers in other departments
- Encourage the use of the online platforms
- Support colleagues to help cover periodic tasks
- Communicate regularly with the Credit Team Leader with any credit concerns
- Excellent planning and organisational skills

- Be accountable for the entire collections portfolio by setting and meeting specific goals related to the aging of open receivables, unapplied credits, and customer service metrics.
- Ensure the team is actively pursuing and processing customer refunds, write-offs, escheatable items, and preparing delinquent customers for third party collections.
- Communicate the Vision by building and developing a strong onboarding & training program for incoming new hires.
**You need to have:**
-Bachelor's degree
- Leadership experience
- Experience in accounting operations, corporate collections, Accounts Receivable, or Order-to-Cash processes
- Ability to influence and negotiate with customers & stakeholders
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with team members, direct reports, and stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task, trouble-shoot & solve complex problems while utilizing multiple system interfaces and addressing a high volume of work within a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills
