The Payments Association is seeking a highly motivated Project and Content Coordinator to work with our members through various project working groups. The role involves delivering thought leadership content and policy work, establishing strong relationships with senior payments professionals, and ensuring project delivery to high standards, on time, and within budget. The Payments Association represents payments firms of all sizes. We are home to the most influential community in payments, fostering connections, collaboration, and learning to shape a thriving industry. We support over 180 members in navigating complex regulatory environments and building profitable partnerships.
We organize a leading series of events, conduct active research and policy development, and maintain a dynamic digital media portfolio. Our activities include monthly digital and face-to-face events, the annual PAY360 conference and awards dinner, webinars, CEO roundtables, podcasts, and training sessions. Guided by an independent Advisory Board of leading payments CEOs, we aim to inform, influence, and celebrate innovation and development in the UK payments market.
About the role
The Project and Content Coordinator will manage their own working groups and related workstreams, creating multimedia content as part of their responsibilities. Our projects address key challenges in payments, such as:
- Open Banking
We plan to expand our project portfolio in 2023 to cover issues like diversity and sustainability, ensuring we continue to meet our members' evolving needs.
Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Coordinator will listen to member needs and deliver engaging activities such as workshops, podcasts, whitepapers, industry reports, and events.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate project meetings to connect members and establish The Payments Association as the key network for topical payments issues.
- Create agendas and build strong relationships with project team members and external stakeholders.
- Develop strategies for each project to maximize engagement through content and policy initiatives.
- Edit and produce thought leadership content, including articles, podcasts, videos, and events.
- Identify stakeholder opportunities and foster relationships to support project growth.
- Collaborate with content, policy, sponsorship, sales, marketing, events, and operations teams to identify revenue opportunities.
- Represent the Payments Association in media discussions about issues uncovered through projects and content.
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
- 1-2 years of experience in corporate content, multimedia journalism, or conference production.
- Interest in fintech and payments.
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing clients and projects.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
