What we do?

At GoodFit, we help our customers unlock their next stages of growth with highly actionable & relevant data. Without a need to speed thousands of hours on manual research, B2B companies use GoodFit's data engine to identify their next opportunities, understand their customers & generate demand.

Our platform takes data from hundreds of sources across the internet, and combines it into a real-time and constantly updated view of each opportunity our clients monitor. We process a lot of data to do this, and utilise best-in-class data processing technologies to do this at scale, robustly and efficiently.

We have a great market opportunity, and we are working with many of the highest growth B2B companies out there. In order to keep up with demand, and accelerate development of the platform, we are expanding our core engineering team.

About the role:

As an Engineering Manager  at GoodFit, you’ll focus on building and nurturing a high-performing engineering team that delivers great products. We’re looking for someone who loves developing people, creating clarity, and fostering an environment where engineers can do their best work. Your strength in line management, communication, and team culture will be key to our success as we scale.

You will:
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of engineers, supporting career growth, goal setting, and regular performance feedback
  • Build and maintain a strong team culture based on trust, inclusion, and psychological safety
  • Help engineers focus by clarifying objectives, aligning priorities, and removing blockers
  • Facilitate effective team rituals (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives, 1:1s) and continually refine processes for better collaboration and flow
  • Support hiring and onboarding, ensuring every new team member is set up for success
  • Identify and nurture future leaders, creating opportunities for skill development and career progression
  • Provide clear, timely communication to leadership on team health, progress, and risks
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by promoting feedback loops, knowledge sharing, and professional development
  • Represent engineering in cross-functional planning and help balance product needs with team well-being
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years managing or leading engineering teams
  • A proven track record of building healthy, motivated, and effective teams in a SaaS or startup environment
  • Excellent people management skills—you care deeply about individual growth and team dynamics
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, able to create alignment across engineering, product, and leadership
  • Experience with hiring, onboarding, and performance management during periods of growth
  • Familiarity with modern agile practices and delivery processes, and a pragmatic approach to continuous improvement
  • A passion for coaching and mentoring, helping others succeed and reach their potential
  • Comfort operating in a remote-first or distributed team environment
Why you'll love working at GoodFit:
  • We are an early stage start up, with a tremendous growth trajectory. The work you'll do will have an instant & recognisable impact.
  • We're a remote-first team, valuing long stretches of uninterrupted work over constant connectivity. We have an office near old street, for those who prefer a hybrid working pattern. The entire team will get together for occasional planning and team meetings (max once per month).
  • As we are small team, you'll work on various parts of our platform & gain experience with wide range of technologies.
  • Complete end-to-end ownership of the business problem all the way to completion, release and happy customers
  • Opportunity to work directly with our founders and executive team who have a proven track record in building successful startups
