This is a unique opportunity for a graphic designer that is looking for more experience in product and service design and who wants to develop their career and learn about strategic design in a values-driven organisation working with organisations that matter.

What you will do

This role combines graphic design with elements of product design, visual communication, and information design.

You will work across all of our customer touchpoints; brand touchpoints, tactical comms, sales collateral, and client engagements. In doing so you'll unify our client experience, help us build a genuine and memorable brand, and elevate our engagements.

You'll take our newly rolled out brand and help us bring it to life on the web and in print, supporting our growth plans across multiple sectors, locations and disciplines. You will evolve the brand and create additional visual languages as we develop more consulting services and other sub-brands.

You’ll support consultants working with organisations from across the world to visually communicate with clients and ensure we present PD with high standards.

1. Creative Production:

  • Design and produce campaign creative, website graphics and sales collateral across web, documents and print
  • Explore and refine visual formats to promote Public Digital and share the work we do
  • Support others at Public Digital to visually communicate their work and ideas

2. Brand and Digital Asset Management:

  • Develop and iterate brand materials, ensuring consistency across various platforms and media
  • Ability to refine and evolve the brand guidelines as needed, in collaboration with the marketing and design teams
  • Manage and organise digital assets (such as images, logos, templates)
  • Implement systems for easy access and use of these assets within the team
  • Ensure assets are up-to-date and align with brand guidelines across web, social media, and internal documents

3. Making design more accessible for everyone:

  • Collaborate with consultants to create re-usable assets (such as playbooks, workshop templates, and visual models)
  • Support consultants to present their work to a high standard, whether in reports, slide decks, or Miro boards
  • Work with our consulting designers, to enable non-designers across PD to do design well

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

    • Creative thinker who can inspire others
    • Strong visual design skills and ability to model concepts and ideas
    • Experience in graphic design for digital and print
    • Experience of brand design and how to position a company externally, adapting to market needs
    • Familiarity with service design and product design would be beneficial
    • Strong collaboration skills
    • Ability to balance perfection with pragmatism

Benefits

What we can offer you

  • The opportunity to work with an organisation who do work that matters
  • The opportunity to learn about wider design and product practices, such as service design and product management
  • Be part of a growing design community at PD
  • Chance to learn from highly experienced designers, while being the expert on graphic design
  • The space and autonomy to shape and evolve the PD brand, in collaboration with marketing and design teams at PD
  • Deliver high-impact work with leading institutions around the world
  • The opportunity to grow and progress rapidly within an engaged, supportive environment
  • Be empowered to do your best work
  • Home and remote working, flexibility in how you deliver work
  • Focus on learning, development and progression
  • Buddy system and prioritised mental health
  • Generous holiday allowance (30 days plus public holidays and an additional 5 days of office closure over the festive period)
  • Private healthcare
  • Flexible Benefits allowance
