This role will focus on quantifying the economic and social benefits of prevention interventions of local residents. The ideal candidate will bring a strong grounding in economics, experience with applied policy analysis, and a deep interest in health equity and public value.
  
This is a fast-paced, impact-focused role suited to a proactive and independent consultant who can hit the ground running.
  
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
  • Lead economic evaluations, including cost-benefit analysis, cost effectiveness of specific interventions
  • Quantify and monetise health and social outcomes using established economic evaluation techniques
  • Gather, clean and analyse data related to health, demographics, social outcomes and service use
  • Develop logic models and impact pathways to understand causal links between interventions and outcomes

  • Produce reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Postgraduate degree in Economics, Heath economics, Public Policy, or related field.
  • Experience in conducting cost-benefit analyses, preferably in the health and social policy domain
  • Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
  • Knowledge of public health metrics, e.g. QALY (desirable)
  • Experience working within or alongside local or national government, NHS, Public health bodies. (desirable)
  • Understanding equity weighing and methods to assess social impact. (desirable)

At Single Homeless Project (SHP), our Health Team has expanded and strengthened over the last five years, and we are now looking for someone who can help drive its next stage of growth. Working across our hostels, TST and Housing First services, you will be at the centre of a service that brings health support directly to those who need it most, removing barriers to care and giving people the tools to take control of their own wellbeing. Leading our Specialist Health Leads, you will guide a team who are pivotal in helping clients recognise their health needs, engage with essential services and build lasting independence. Alongside this, you will forge strong working relationships with GPs, nurses, occupational health professionals and psychologists, ensuring that our clients are supported by the very best of both SHP and our external partners.

No two days will be the same. You will combine leadership with hands-on collaboration, from supporting staff development to building partnerships, to ensuring our approach is informed by robust data. Collecting, analysing and presenting this information will be key in demonstrating our impact, shaping practice and strengthening grant applications with our fundraising team.
