Loughborough Universitys Language Centre team of 12 teachers delivers credit-bearing modules and extra-curricular courses to non-specialist students from across the University in French, German, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, from beginner through to degree level. Our dynamic small-group teaching receives high levels of positive feedback from students, and we are always seeking to improve and evolve.
We are currently looking for a part-time professional educator who will become the third member of the French team from 1st October 2025. The ideal candidate is an experienced and informed practitioner focused on the pedagogy of teaching French as a non-native language.
Applicants to this post will be native or near native speakers of French with a solid pedagogical competence and a track-record of delivering stimulating classes that engage students, actively helping them to achieve positive learning outcomes.
The bulk of our teaching currently takes place weekly on Thursdays and Fridays during university semesters (see ). Many of the slots are currently between 9 am and 2 pm. Days and / or times may change in future to meet the needs of the service.
