MTS is currently looking for an IT Technician at its Cardiff venue on a casual zero-hours contract basis.

The Role:
We are seeking reliable and proactive IT Technicians to provide ad-hoc technical support across software, hardware, and networking. This is a flexible part-time role, ideally suited for individuals seeking casual work.
You will typically be scheduled for 3–5 days per month, with opportunities to take on additional roles within the organisation, such as exam delivery support as a Test Administrator (invigilator).
Job Details:
- Casual Zero-hours basis (weekday and/or weekend availability)
- Salary: £18.10 per hour including 12.07% holiday pay for casual IT Technician role. The pay rates will vary if you take part in other support roles following MTS’s Pay Policy.
- Location: Office-based role, at Cardiff CF10 1AT
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Start date: Within 1 month
- Reporting To: Associate Director (Exams Technology & Networks)
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 (and occasional Level 2) IT support for the setup and delivery of exams
- Maintain and check IT infrastructure, including network switches and cabling (remote assistance will be provided when required)
- Support the preparation, installation, and decommissioning of temporary/pop-up sites when needed
- Assist with IT-related projects to support company operations
Person Specification:
- Strong IT literacy with sound knowledge of hardware and Windows operating systems
- Basic networking knowledge desirable
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude

What does the role involve?
Being a Dialysis nurse requires commitment and passion along with the skills and competencies to juggle the technical nursing aspect whilst giving holistic care. You will be working autonomously, responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of care for dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease or acute kidney injury.
Merthyr Tydfil Dialysis Unit operates 27 haemodialysis stations, serving up to 108 patients, in partnership with Cardiff & Vale Trust using only the latest equipment. Nursing is planned at a ratio 1:3 patients, and you will be supported by HCA’s on each shift.
This is a part time role of 28.75 hours a week. Current days are working various shifts between 6.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday.
