Product Designer - Leading Toy Manufacturer
Zachary Daniels Recruitment is delighted to be supporting this leading toy manufacturer in the appointment of two product designers to join their rapidly growing business and their existing design team within their wooden toy division.
Having started out specialising in own brand and diversifying into licensing 5 years ago the business has seen unprecedented growth and now works across the globe with some of the most recognisable businesses in the market such as Disney, BBC, Hasbro, Matel in addition to creating own brand lines for some of the biggest retailers in the UK.
These roles would suit a creative thinker. Someone who is comfortable seeing a project through from initial concept to final product. Their working style encourages and enhances Product Design in its truest form.
Essential knowledge & experience for the role:
- 3+ years' experience in product design within a consumer led business.
- Accomplished CAD skills, fully conversant in Adobe CSS Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- A knowledge of SolidWorks is a huge bonus, but not essential, also familiarity with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Practical experience of involvement in full design process from initial design concept through to final product launch.
- Confident presenting ideas, concepts and conducting meetings.
- To have a 3D mind set and the skills to create graphics for 3D products.
- A strong sense of colour is essential with an adaptable design handwriting and the ability to produce innovative creative designs.
- A comprehensive awareness of the toy market and an understanding of current trends throughout the industry with a track record of commercial design.

We have partnered with a Digital Agency client to help them hire a Product Designer for their growing creative team. This is a mid-level role, in which you will play a key role in the design of key projects, working on client's products and services by solving complex problems that consider user needs, business goals, and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include updating and maintaining their well-established design system alongside other designers. You will be an advocate for the design system, its rules, and processes, effectively communicating its value to clients and external teams
This position is perfect for an ambitious Product Designer who's experienced working in agency environments on a variety of design projects.
The Person:
- 3+ years' experience working in design
- Experienced in workshops and brainstorming sessions
- Figma Proficiency including design system components, responsive design, and prototyping
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is desirable
- Familiarity with the healthcare industry (or other highly regulated industries) is desirable
