Position summary:

The Product Development Engineer in our Vaporization and Refrigeration group supports various phases of Environmental Control Unit (ECU) and Liquid Chiller projects ranging from concept and initial design to prototype hardware fabrication and volume production. The types of projects vary from modifications of existing designs to “blank sheet of paper” development programs and advanced performance testing. At any given time, the Product Development Engineer is responsible for the success of multiple projects, providing the opportunity to work on all aspects of the product development cycle. Product Development Engineers work on a multi-disciplinary team including Electrical Engineering resources and CAD Designers to effectively develop complex systems. Candidates that have a strong technical background with experience in design for manufacturability of complex systems excel at this position.

  • Refrigeration (Vapor Compression) system design and component selection
  • Refrigeration schematic

  • CFD/FEA analysis for mechanical/thermal/hydraulic performance prediction
