Location: Stratford, London Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office) There will be national and (potentially) international travel with this role.

We're a dynamic, innovative team of talented professionals spearheading the ambitious 00m More Research, Less Cancer campaign. With over 30m already raised, we're making strides to revolutionise cancer research, focusing on; The Francis Crick Institute, Cancer Grand Challenges, Translation & Innovation and our Future Leaders' programme.
In this role, you'll lead the cultivation and stewardship of a portfolio of donors capable of making million+ gifts, with a focus on supporting translational research that helps turn scientific discoveries into new treatments, tests and technologies that benefit people with cancer.
Areas of focus include the Centre for Drug Development - the world's only charity-funded drug development facility - and our emerging data and AI strategy, which aims to accelerate scientific discovery and improve outcomes for people affected by cancer.
What will I be doing?
- Work in partnership with the Associate Director of Philanthropy to lead new philanthropic initiatives supporting the Translation and Innovation pillar of the More Research, Less Cancer campaign.
- Manage a portfolio of prospects with the capacity to give m+, focusing on qualification, engagement, and stewardship throughout the full giving cycle. Drive consistent pipeline progress by securing donations and cultivating future support to strengthen CRUK's donor base.
- Achieve agreed fundraising income and prospect cultivation targets and provide regular reporting and metrics against goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders-including academics, researchers, institutional leaders, and volunteer leaders - to develop and implement strategies for securing gifts of M+.
- Support the recruitment, engagement, and stewardship of senior volunteer leaders and campaign board members, working closely with colleagues to leverage their networks and influence in securing transformational gifts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling, insight-led philanthropic narratives and funding propositions, translating CRUK's research priorities into opportunities that inspire philanthropic support.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of CRUK's research and impact.
- Contribute to team development by actively sharing best practices, insights, and learnings, fostering a collaborative culture across the Philanthropy Directorate.
- Stay informed about evolving gift and data policies in the UK, ensuring compliance with all relevant fundraising regulations.
- Contribute to cross-directorate initiatives, strategy development, and participate in working groups and other collaborative activities as appropriate.
What are we looking for?
- Extensive experience in professional fundraising within a complex and ambitious organisation, with a proven track record of securing seven-figure gifts.
- Deep knowledge of principal and major gift fundraising best practices, along with a strong understanding of the broader issues and trends shaping philanthropy today.
- Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, complex environments, including involvement in significant fundraising campaigns and managing multiple, high-stakes projects.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail. Exceptional writing ability and confidence using technology, including databases, Excel, PowerPoint, and other platforms.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and new territory, with the ability to set clear direction and establish new protocols. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organised and consistently able to deliver high-quality work under pressure, managing competing deadlines and prioritising effectively to support CRUK's mission to fund world-class science.
- Strategic thinker with experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies. Skilled at influencing and collaborating with others, and able to quickly grasp and lead on CRUK campaign priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and effectively with a wide range of individuals-including internal colleagues, institutional leaders, external collaborators, stakeholders, and donors.

Working with the wider Project Management team, the Translation Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the full lifecycle of market research translation and localization projects to completion whilst ensuring IQVIA's standards are met.
**Project Management:**
+ Manage multiple market research translation and localization projects at any one time from receipt to completion across qualitative and quantitative methodologies
+ Work on complex quantitative studies including tracker/wave projects
+ Liaise with the client to assess and agree project parameters and requirements
+ Manage market research client accounts to ensure high client satisfaction
+ Assess project scope to select appropriate vendors and negotiate deadlines effectively
+ Monitor and manage the status of assigned projects to effectively anticipate and prevent issues
+ Accurately complete project finances including quoting and budgeting
+ Prepare and maintain project documentation and information
+ Understand and adhere to the Quality Management System
+ Comply with relevant and applicable IQVIA procedures and SOPs
+ Assist in the maintenance of linguistic assets including glossaries and style guides
+ Ensure that high quality is maintained for all projects through QA checks
**Requirements:**
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Market Research Project Management in the Language Services industry,
+ Specialist in Market Research Translation Services with knowledge of both Qual and Quant services. Knowledge of tracker project best practice is desirable
+ Solid client management skills with the ability to manage client expectations
+ Bachelor's degree, ideally in a linguistic, business or scientific field
+ Fluency in English is essential, an additional language would be advantageous
+ Excellent written/verbal communication skills
+ Excellent attention to detail to ensure that high quality standards are maintained
+ Ability to meet strict deadlines and to manage competing priori ties and changing demands

The Linguistic Validation (LV) Senior Project Manager is responsible for the development and harmonization of the Linguistic Validation and screenshot reviews of Clinical Outcome Assessments (COA) process within the IQVIA Translations team. Including but not limited to, Patient Reported Outcomes, Patient Diaries, Clinician Reported Outcomes, Observer Reported Outcomes and Performance Measures. He/she builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients. He/she will lead a portfolio of large complex projects that span multiple activities and methodologies in Linguistic Validation.
He/she ensures the LV and COA projects (and any other Translations and Localization projects assigned under his/her responsibility) are delivered on time and budget and recommends synergies, enhancements and improvements as needed.
The Linguistic Validation Senior Project Manager should ensure the highest standard of quality and should be able to track and report those to IQVIA Translations Services (ITS) leadership team.
The Linguistic Validation Senior Project Manager has excellent communication skills to be able to work in collaboration with the IQVIA revenue recognition team and to define LV and COA commercial strategy.
The Linguistic Validation Senior Project Manager will report to the Head of Project Management who will define his/her job focus based on the requirements coming from the client and service portfolio.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Leads and implements policies, procedures and/or actions for the purpose of improving efficiency and providing direction for meeting the team's Linguistic Validation and COA objectives.
+ Coordinates with colleagues in other departments for the purpose of developing an efficient workflow.
+ Assesses the client's expectations or specifications and advise on best practices when appropriate to ensure content effectiveness and client satisfaction
+ Coordinates and communicates with interviewers and recruiters for the purpose of conducting debriefing interviews, analyzing results, and making recommendations for improvements.
+ Acts as main point of contact for internal/external clients and manage any escalations or issues that may arise
+ Establishes and maintains excellent relationships with freelance linguists across multiple locations
+ Collaborates with Vendor Managers to develop an extensive network of LV and COA linguists and subject matter experts
+ Works collaboratively with Team Leads and their respective teams to ensure high quality deliverables for all projects assigned to him/her.
+ Coordinates with quality personnel to ensure accuracy is maintained and instructions are followed to a perfect standard
+ Monitors and controls projects status and progress
+ Manages budget and finance of projects and ensures all work is completed within assigned budget
+ Prepares and maintains project and process documentation
+ Complies with relevant and applicable IQVIA procedures
+ Works with Team Leads to help in the training and development of junior staff
**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience specializing in Linguistic Validation as a Project Manager in the Language Services industry
+ Excellent written/verbal communication skills
+ Fluency in English is essential, an additional language would be a strong asset
+ Degree in Linguistics, Translation or Localisation related subject would be preferred but is not essential
+ Good attention to multilingual content effectiveness details such as accuracy whilst maintaining high quality standards
+ Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage competing priorities and changing demands.
+ Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
+ Ability to follow instructions/guidelines, work independently and on own initiative
+ Demonstration of good IT skills
+ Experience working with XTRF and/or memoQ as well as with any TMS would be highly advantageous

+ **MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

About the role
We have a rare opening for a Junior Story Producer, Translation to join our Story Studio team – the group of producers, project managers, editors, writers, artists and designers at the heart of the company that create our very special personalised products.
Production work in the Story Studio is very multi-disciplinary. Our current producers come from diverse backgrounds including publishing, project management, product design and theatre production and use those skills to guide our creative and production processes. Product design and translation coordination for personalised books is a very specialist role – and we will provide training and support to whoever joins us.
Requirements
We’re looking for an organised, proactive and book-loving person to join our Kids & Family team. As our Junior Producer, you’ll be mainly focussed on launching our most popular books in non-English speaking territories. You’ll oversee these projects – from assisting with initial market research, product internationalisation and website launch – ensuring that the highest standards are met, on schedule and within budget. Alongside this, you will also coordinate our team of freelance translators and editors. You do not need to be able to speak other languages, but you should be passionate about other cultures and the nuances of translation work.
You’ll also be integral to our Story Studio team – supporting editorial tasks such as research for new book concepts, formatting manuscripts and cross checking proofs. You’ll participate in creative workshops and develop ideas for new products. This will be a varied and exciting role!
Core requirements
- A clear passion for storytelling and children’s products that inspire and entertain
- Demonstrable ability to work autonomously to brief
- At least one year’s experience in a professional working environment – ideally in publishing, product design, or other creative industries
- Experience taking a project from initial concept through to delivery, and an understanding of what it takes to bring creative ideas to life
- An interest other cultures, languages and the nuances of translation work (the ability to speak another language is a bonus, but not required)
- Strong communication skills and a demonstrable ability to work collaboratively and influence people across a business
- Strong project management skills, including excellent attention to detail
- A knack for problem-solving and a proactive approach to finding ways to improve our daily processes and workflow
- A good working knowledge of Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides) – knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and basic artworking skills would be a big plus
- Some editorial experience and interest in developing your editorial skills.
