The Digital Technology Director will lead a dedicated technology leadership team (Head of Systems & Architecture, Head of Projects, Head of Data), manage relationships with third-party IT service providers and major software vendors, and oversee the deployment of various digital solutions.

Key responsibilities
  • Digital Transformation Leadership: Lead the digital transformation initiative by transitioning to a modern, data-driven, efficient, and secure IT ecosystem. Drive company-wide adoption of SaaS and cloud-based solutions in alignment with business objectives.

Skills and qualifications

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • 10+ years in senior technology leadership roles within large or complex organisations, ideally in heavy asset sectors (e.g., maritime, logistics, energy, infrastructure).
  • Proven ability to develop and execute long-term digital strategies aligned with business goals and operational needs.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic foresight to balance innovation with ROI and future-proofing.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, including integrating legacy systems with modern platforms.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS enterprise systems, cloud technologies, and data-driven ecosystems.

Overview

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is recruiting a Project Manager to join the D&T team, reporting into the Director of Projects. The successful candidate will deliver current demand of projects to ensure that CBRE D&T teams have the capability to deliver, track/report demand in line with best practices to manage project governance and admin.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide high quality, proactive and efficient project leadership, and maintain appropriate systems and processes to support the effective delivery of projects.
  • Work in both agile and waterfall environments; manage SDLC, Real Estate or Facilities Management related activities, including: CMMS exposure, detailed project communications, project governance, project plans, RAID logs, cutover planning, early life support, maintenance of logs, communication to affected users, liaison with technical teams for support, meeting detail capture, project closure, and lessons learned facilitation. Obtain sign-off with PM support.
  • Work with the PMO Manager to maintain project reporting, project financials, and ensure projects are delivered in line with GWS project governance.
What You’ll Need
  • Strong experience in IT project management.
  • End-to-end software delivery project management experience.
  • Excellent data and reporting skills.
  • Ability to provide assured programme governance across multiple projects.
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience delivering to senior level stakeholders.
  • Transition and mobilisation of contracts and systems.
  • Commercial real estate or facilities management experience is preferred.

Permanent, flexible fractional.

Associate Lecturer Scales 1 - 4, £24,049 - £8,381 per annum, pro rata. Main Grade Scales 1 - UP1, 0,620 - 4,011 per annum, pro rata (for qualified lecturers).

NPTC Group of Colleges - To be based at Neath College.

About you: Our ideal applicant will have a teaching qualification, along with a level 6 qualification (degree or equivalent) in the subject area and have relevant experience. Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English are also required (GCSE or equivalent). With the impact the digital world is having on teaching and learning candidates must be IT literate equivalent to level 4.

Candidate Profile
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring software development teams
  • Strong programming skills in at least one object-oriented language (Python, C#, Java, or C++)
  • Solid experience in database management (SQL or NoSQL systems)
  • Practical experience designing and deploying automation solutions using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools (e.g., UiPath)
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React is beneficial
  • Cloud platform experience and CI/CD best practices are desirable

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Team development: Responsible for developing team capability; ensuring they are motivated, energised and upskilled and therefore delivering as a high performing team.

Your Skills And Experience Will Include

  • Qualified accountant with several years PQE in a commercial environment
  • Technology Finance experience preferably Technology transformation, infrastructure & platforms
  • Collaborative approach, with a natural style that builds credibility and a strong network across Digital & Technology and Finance
  • Commercial curiosity and a critical thinker with excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to influence and partner at senior and exec levels. Willingness to challenge the status quo and an ability to manage change.
