Overview
As a Digital Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll work alongside System/Network Administrators and Software Developers to deliver and support cutting-edge Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) systems. This is a hands-on technical role requiring initiative, collaboration, and a strong understanding of secure digital infrastructure. You’ll be involved in everything from system design and deployment to support and documentation, contributing directly to mission-critical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and support MDA digital infrastructure solutions.
- Provide 1st–3rd line support across on-site operations centres and a global user base.
- Participate in a 24/7, 365 out-of-hours callout roster.
- Generate technical documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.
- Ensure Secure by Design principles and security guidance are followed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to meet operational and business needs.
- Travel occasionally (domestic and international) as required.
- Eligible for DV Security Clearance.
- Strong experience across infrastructure technologies including:
- VMWare, Private Cloud, Server Hardware (Edge, GPU Clusters)
- DevOps tools (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins), CI/CD, IaaC
- Network Infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper), LAN/WAN/Security
- Windows/Linux OS, VDI (VMWare Horizon)
- Monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Kibana, PRTG)
- Messaging, Web, Identity, DNS, Backup, Licensing, Storage, PKI
- Source control (Git), GIS (ESRI Enterprise)
- AI/ML workflows and analytical services
- Royal Navy or maritime domain experience

- ITIL v4 certification

Within JCDecaux UK the role of Digital Infrastructure Support Analyst (DISA) provides the company with initial deployment, configuration, and support of network connected devices across the digital estate. The role is pivotal in ensuring that the digital network, on which our content player assets reside, is maintained in a reliable and consistent state. The DISA sits within the Digital Infrastructure team, part of the Service Delivery department.
The role reports to the Digital Infrastructure Team Leader (DITL) and works closely with the Campaign Management department within the Commercial Sales division as well as Digital Support, Incident Management and Projects teams within the Technical Operations division.

Capabilities
What you'll be doing.
Issue Management & Support
- Improve systems by studying current practices, suggesting modifications to the DITL and Head of Digital Services (HDS)
- Prepare incident reports collecting, analysing and summarizing information
- Implement router, switch, firewall, etc firmware updates to the infrastructure estate
- Monitoring of primarily large format digital network equipment e.g. video processors, etc
- Analysis of issues and incidents logged to the Service Delivery ticket system
- Support for scheduling digital campaigns and one off exceptional or unusual dynamic campaigns
- Highlight and escalate concerns regarding physical/network security concerns to DITL for review and appraisal
- Communicates with project stakeholders at all levels
- Forges and strengthens relationships with the business
- Communication of issues and risks in projects to the DSSTL, HDS and SBA-DIG
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Experience of working with digital out of home technologies (KIS, Broadsign, OneLAN, etc)
- Experience in working with ticket systems (CONNECT for Service, Zendesk, etc)
- Experience using various operating systems (Linux and Windows variants)
- Adherence to the philosophy of continuous improvement through examination of all outcomes of processes, regardless of either a positive or negative outcome
- Ensures standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed and where audits find non-adherence to SOP that corrective actions are completed in a timely manner
- Ability to listen, adapt and make suggestions

Job DescriptionAlantra’s growing UK Digital Infrastructure M&A vertical is searching for a VP to execute a range of quality mandates that have been recently secured. Digital infrastructure is one of the fastest growing sectors globally and the team focuses on all three sub-verticals (data centres, fibre and towers). Driven by the accelerating growth in data and coupled with advances in technology, the sector is experiencing an influx of investment which has led to the significant deal flow within the team. Digital Infrastructure forms part of the broader Technology M&A coverage within Alantra with ~25 professionals in London and ~60 in total globally. What you will doA Little More About Your Role… As a Principal Engineer or Associate, you will be responsible for leading infrastructure design schemes at both discipline and multi-discipline levels (dependent on grade) using your experience in roadside infrastructure design. You are expected to collaborate effectively with the team, lead problem-solving efforts, provide support and address any gaps as necessary. You will be accountable for the quality of the outputs from the team, ensuring that they meet high expectations. Your role will require strong client engagement, a positive mindset, and the ability to navigate client needs in line with corporate responsibilities, escalating issues to senior staff when appropriate.
What we will be looking for- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline and working towards professional registration with an accredited institute.
- Possess domain knowledge in a relevant industry, such as power, communications, electrical, electronics, and highway design.
- Understanding of roadside infrastructure and design standards
- Lead design processes, including the use of design tools
- Lead a team in delivering designs or schemes
- Collaborating with colleagues from other disciplines, understanding their basic principles
- Ability to collaborate successfully with clients and manage their expectations
- Ability to undertake the role of lead engineer to successfully take a scheme from inception to handover with the client
- Ability to motivate, develop and lead junior members of the team, encouraging individual growth and performance
- Ability to problem-solve and be self-motivated when undertaking specific tasks with minimal support from peers
