- Learn the roles. Understand the roles and industry that we recruit for and how we recruit.
- Taking References. contacting previous employers to get references for candidates and build your knowledge on what different employers consider key skills and requirements.
Once you're getting the hang of that, you'll progress to
- Talk to employers. Learn about different companies and what kind of people they need to hire.
- Growing your own network. Start building a list of contacts, both job seekers and employers, that you regularly work with and support.
- Managing your own job roles. Start taking full responsibility for filling certain vacancies, from posting the advert to placing the candidate.
- Shadowing sales calls or client meetings. Listening in on calls with companies to understand how client relationships work.
- Negotiating rates - Help agree on rates and start dates between the company and the candidate.
