**Role Overview**
We are seeking a senior technology leader to serve as **Director of Agentic Architecture and Development** . This pivotal role will shape how autonomous agents are architected, developed, and deployed across IQVIA's RDS technology ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering-particularly in AI/ML systems-and have transitioned into architectural leadership. They will bring hands-on experience solving complex technical challenges and driving agentic architecture initiatives within engineering teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Architectural Leadership**
+ Define and evolve the agentic architecture framework across RDS workflows.
+ Collaborate with GTO's Enterprise and Solution Architects to ensure consistency and compliance with enterprise standards.
+ Ensure architectural decisions support scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.
**Agent Development Oversight**
+ Provide technical leadership for the development of agentic workflows across RDS squads.
+ Guide engineering teams on best practices for building, testing, and deploying intelligent agents.
+ Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and platforms for agent development.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**
+ Act as the key liaison between RDS squads and GTO, translating squad-level needs into enterprise architecture decisions.
+ Facilitate feedback loops from development teams to influence infrastructure and platform strategy.
**Ecosystem Integration**
+ Assess the current RDS technology ecosystem for integration points and enhancements to support agentic systems.
+ Develop a roadmap for scalable agent deployment within existing infrastructure.
+ Identify and mitigate risks or gaps in the tech stack related to agentic adoption.
**Technology Strategy**
+ Advise on the selection of technologies, programming languages, AI/ML models, orchestration engines, and deployment platforms.
+ Influence the long-term direction of RDS's technical architecture in line with agentic advancements and market trends.
**Talent and Team Enablement**
+ Mentor and upskill internal teams on agentic systems, architecture principles, and development methodologies.
+ Help define hiring needs and skill development programs to build internal capabilities.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
**Education**
+ Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
**Professional Background**
+ Proven experience in engineering roles focused on AI/ML systems, with a transition into architectural leadership.
+ Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems in real-world settings.
+ Experience leading architecture initiatives embedded within engineering teams (not solely in consulting capacities).
+ Track record of designing and implementing distributed systems and agentic workflows.
**Technical Skills**
+ Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
+ Familiarity with agentic concepts, LLMs, reasoning engines, planning systems, and orchestration platforms (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI).
+ Strong grasp of DevOps, CI/CD, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and containerization.

**About the Role**
You will help support Amentum's ongoing or planned infrastructure work around the existing 5 Basin at HMNB Devonport, which is used for active nuclear submarines and will undergo maintenance and support upgrades to ensure its long-term relevance for the Royal Navy's future fleet. This is part of a larger, multi-billion pound, decade-long redevelopment of the dockyard to modernize facilities for both new frigates and nuclear submarines, with the goal of supporting the Royal Navy's operations for the next 30 years.

Provide specialist building surveying leadership across sites complex, listed and live public, scientific and collections environments. You will plan and deliver fabric inspections, condition surveys and lifecycle advice; scope and manage fabric works; safeguard heritage significance; and ensure all activities protect collections, visitors, staff and research while complying with statutory, conservation and client requirements. You will be a key interface between CBRE and the main stake holders on site.
**Key Responsibilities**
-Lead cyclical inspections of internal/external fabric including roofs, rainwater goods, facades/terracotta, windows/doors (incl. specialist and heritage), stairwells, floors, finishes, signage and wayfinding. Produce condition reports, risk assessments and prioritised recommendations.
-Develop specifications/schedules of work and tender documentation for fabric repairs, minor refurbishments and conservation works. Administer contracts (NEC/JCT), manage suppliers and quality, and ensure compliant handover/O&M documentation.
