Duties:

As BIM Manager , you'll lead the development and integration of digital processes across all design functions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and implementing BIM workflows, templates, and company standards
  • Driving the business's progression toward ISO 19650 compliance
  • Overseeing BIM coordination, model integration, clash detection, and model delivery
  • Managing internal BIM processes and external consultants across multiple projects
  • Collaborating with design, quality, and project teams to streamline digital delivery
  • Reviewing and contributing to BEPs, EIRs, MIDPs, and TIDPs
  • Providing training and support to internal teams to ensure consistent, effective BIM use

Requirements:

  • HNC or higher in a construction, design, or architectural discipline
  • Proven experience as a BIM Manager or Senior BIM Lead within the construction or faade industry
  • Expertise in Revit , AutoCAD , Navisworks , and Common Data Environments (e.g. Aconex, Asite)
  • Strong technical knowledge of roofing, cladding, and faade systems (rainscreen, composite, metal, etc.)
  • Ability to lead teams, manage digital workflows, and troubleshoot BIM challenges
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills

Our client is looking for a BIM Manager to work on a long-term HVDC Interconnector project on a contract basis.
 
The Role
 
Leads all Building Information Modelling (BIM) activities on the interconnector project, ensuring the effective implementation of the project’s information management strategy in line with ISO 19650 and the Employer’s requirements. The BIM Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), supporting model coordination across disciplines, and ensuring compliance with information standards, naming conventions, and Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols. The role interfaces with engineering teams, subcontractors, and the Employer’s information management function to ensure that structured, federated digital models support project delivery and handover.
 
Key Duties
  • Prepare, maintain, and implement the BIM Execution Plan in accordance with ISO 19650 and project specific information requirements.
  • Coordinate the delivery and federation of 3D models and structured data from multiple design and construction disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance with agreed naming conventions, model structures, metadata requirements, and CDE workflows.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs).

This leading M&E Consultancy is looking for a BIM leader to join their Leeds team in a post that is best described as BIM Manager, and the perfect step-up for a Revit Coordinator keen to progress.

Why?

You'll be looking after a team of four people locally and coordinating the completion of schemes by using spare capacity that colleagues may have, and external BIM bureaus.
