**Role Overview:**
The Broadcast Operations Manager for Olympic Sports is responsible assisting in the co-ordination, and delivery of high-quality broadcast coverage across multiple Olympic disciplines. This role ensures seamless execution of live and recorded content, working closely with international stakeholders, production teams, editorial leads and technical teams to uphold the standards and spirit of the Olympic Games.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Pre-Games Planning & Coordination**
+ Assist in the operational planning and execution of WBD Olympic sports production, including both venue-based and remote productions.
+ Support the preparation and coordination of Venue Planning Meetings, ensuring alignment on coverage plans and the latest production updates.
+ Work closely with the Broadcast Information, Bookings, Venue Planning and Production Logistics Team.
+ Maintain clear communication with WBD Olympic stakeholders including Market Leads, Editorial Leads, Production, Engineering, Operations, and IT teams.
+ Manage complex production schedules across multiple venues and WBD broadcast platforms.
+ Collaborate with the Health & Safety Manager to ensure all documentation and protocols are in place and work with our teams to ensure all policies are adhered to.
+ Ensure all vendor contracts are in place in advance of the Games.
+ Prepare for handover to Games-Time Venue Managers and Coordinators by:
+ Producing pre-Games venue call sheets
+ Creating and maintaining production schedules for each WBD Olympic venue
+ Ensuring teams are briefed on Games-time operational procedures as outlined in the OBS Games-Time Guide and WBD Broadcast Manual
+ Contribute towards the handover of venues to Broadcast Venue Managers and Co-ordinators
**Games-Time Operations**
+ Liaise with the VP of Creative Content to support logistics for WBD ENG crews across Olympic venues and key Winter Olympic locations.
+ Work closely with WBD Broadcast Venue Management teams to ensure smooth venue operations.
+ Maintain clear communication with editorial leads, venue producers, and venue managers.
+ Support WBD Broadcast Venue Managers and Coordinators in producing daily production schedules and managing event logistics.
+ Coordinate with the bookings team to distribute supplementary access devices (e.g., camera stickers, bibs, armbands, QR codes, VAPPs, SAPs).
+ Liaise with Central Services and Operations teams to support workforce wellbeing.
+ Ensure full compliance with OBS and MiCo Games-time guidelines.
+ Support the Production Logistics team with load-in/load-out operations to ensure timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
+ Assist production teams with venue navigation and basic troubleshooting.
+ Ensure adherence to all health and safety protocols across venues and remote productions.
+ Ensure timely processing of crew and freelance payments, liaising with payment departments and tracking costs for accurate budget reconciliation.
+ Raise supplier Purchase Orders
**Skills & Experience Required:**
+ Extensive experience in live sports broadcast production, preferably within Olympic or multi-sport environments.
+ Strong understanding of international broadcast operations, technical workflows, and venue logistics.
+ Proven ability to manage large-scale, multi-location productions under pressure.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
+ Familiarity with host broadcast operations and rights-holder coordination.
+ Knowledge of IP-based production, remote workflows, and cloud-based media management.
+ Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours during Games time.

**What are T Levels?**
T Levels follow GCSEs and will be equivalent to three A levels. These two-year courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses, so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for work. T Levels offer students a mixture of classroom learning and 'on-the-job' experience during an industry placement of at least 45 days. The T Level Examiner role is an excellent opportunity to earn some extra money in a part-time role, alongside any full-time commitments you may have, whilst also developing your career in education.
