My client design and manufactures a range of bespoke commercial rooms for a variety of clients. They are looking to take on a CAD Technician, on a permanent basis, in Stafford.
The CAD Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Be Degree/ HND/ HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a similar Engineering subject
- Graduate level will be considered as well as those with 2-5 years’ or more of industry experience working in a CAD / design role
- Good attention to detail
- Knowledge of CAD software – Inventor or Revit
- Experience with Joinery, or any form of woodwork is desirable, but not a necessity
- Proficient with using Microsoft Office programmes
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to travel as required as a large part of the role to customer sites, both in the UK and abroad
- Someone who is keen to progress and develop with a company long term

Job summary: Develop and create MB SPACE designs based on restaurant demand data using integrated merchandising/space planning software. To manage and optimise new and existing restaurant chambers space by creating SPACE design solutions that reflect the agreed planning principles. Major duties & responsibilities:
+ Design and development of required back of house chambers that deliver the MB SPACE principles for new and existing restaurants
+ Liaise and communicate with all key project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of right first time designs
+ Seek opportunities to maximise the potential of every scheme within agreed principles and cost
+ Develop a deep understanding of the space, equipment and function of each chamber to ensure you are the subject matter expert
