Temporary Catering Assistant /Kitchen assistant (5-Day Cover) - September

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Rate: 13.00

Are you looking for a short-term role in a busy catering environment? Vertas is seeking a friendly and reliable Catering Assistant to cover a temporary 8-day period in September at our commercial factory canteen.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with food preparation and service

Serving customers efficiently and courteously

Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the canteen area

Supporting with stock replenishment and basic kitchen duties

Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience in catering or hospitality is essential

Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused

Ability to work efficiently as part of a team

Reliable and punctual

Health and safety certficate required

Note: This is a temporary role for 12th 13th 14th 15th 16th days in September, perfect for those looking for short-term work or additional income.

Estates & Facilities Management

Estates & Facilities are the campus hospitality provider at Loughborough University.  We provide accommodation and catering within our halls of residence and within our various food and bar outlets for students, staff and visitors. 

We require a Kitchen Catering Assistant to work within our busy campus kitchens. Duties of the role include the preparation and presentation of food, following standardised recipes, and serving from the hot plate. Within this position a high level of customer service should be maintained at all times.

The position currnetly available is part time, working for 17 hours per week, on an open ended, 5 over 7,  32 week (termtime), contract.
