Role Overview

The Regulatory Compliance Officer will be responsible for identifying, interpreting and advising on regulatory requirements of TP ICAP’s EMEA businesses to ensure that TP ICAP pursues its strategic objectives in accordance with all applicable regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will directly advise senior stakeholders within corporate and broking divisions, and will support the EMEA Compliance function in its regular interactions with stakeholders on regulatory matters.

As a member of the EMEA Compliance Advisory team, you will report into the Senior Compliance Advisory Manager. As such, the role-holder will be a part of the EMEA Compliance function, based in TP ICAP’s London offices. The Regulatory Compliance Officer will work to create a compliance culture within the TP ICAP Group, with particular responsibility for the UK broking divisions.

Role Responsibilities

  • Horizon-scanning to detect and track emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Interpreting emerging regulatory requirements and advising stakeholders on their potential impact and associated control requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across TP ICAP, including the EMEA COO, the EMEA Head of Venues and Market Infrastructure, and Legal.
  • Interacting with trade associations, exchanges and regulators as required, including representing TP ICAP at industry or regulatory meetings.
  • Representing EMEA Compliance in internal governance meetings, such as the Regulatory Change Oversight Meeting, and in subsequent regulatory implementation projects.
  • Creating and delivering training materials on regulatory requirements.
  • Reviewing and drafting policies and procedures to comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Performing ad-hoc reviews and investigations in to TP ICAP’s adherence to its regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting applications for new/amended regulatory permissions as required.
  • Review output from the Compliance Monitoring Programme and implement remedial actions.
  • Project work as required from time to time.
  • Fulfil additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business and the EMEA Compliance function.

Essential

Experience / Competences

  • Good working knowledge of the applicable requirements of the UK and EU financial services regime, including the FCA Handbook and key regulations e.g. MiFID II and SMCR etc.
  • Previous experience analysing wholesale market regulations and assessing their impact.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to build relationships and communicate effectively and efficiently to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to work well with diverse groups and personalities.
  • A bachelor’s degree or a period of work experience demonstrating equivalent ability.

Desired

  • Prior experience at a regulator or government agency in drafting or reviewing financial services policy.
  • Prior experience in a compliance role at another Financial Services firm.

Are you an experienced Compliance Officer and would like to work for an established and very successful family run business, who have a strong positive team and company culture? You will be working a 37.5 hour week, great benefits plus a salary of up to 28,000



About You:


  • Understanding of excel, word, and outlook.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred basic knowledge of acrobat reader or illustrator but not essential.

The Role:


  • Email liaison with factories, supplier & buying office on packaging requirements/approvals.
  • Gather documents and evidence to ensure all products adhere to relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance documents, certificates, and reports, ensuring they are up to date.
  • Help conduct simple reviews or risk assessments of new products in line with guidelines.
  • Review & verify Bill of materials (BOM) of existing & new products.
  • Coordinate with the sales team on compliance queries from customers.
  • Work with relevant departments to ensure successful certification and adherence to relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support senior staff in identifying compliance risks through data analysis, audits, and product reviews.

Compliance Officer
Hybrid – Central London | Up to £70K+ DOE | Real Estate & Probate Insurance | Bonus + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance professional to join a successful, fast paced, and close-knit specialist insurance business.

With a strong market presence and around 50 employees, this is a key hire for a well-established team.

The business is well-regarded within its niche – primarily legal indemnity insurance across real estate and probate – and the successful candidate will need to hit the ground running with a good understanding of this complex regulatory space.

What you'll be doing:

  • Taking full ownership of the Compliance function, working closely with senior leadership, including the COO and Operations Director
  • Playing a key role in decision-making and strategic projects, with the autonomy to shape and develop the role further
  • Ensuring the business remains fully compliant with FCA and broader regulatory requirements, including strong oversight of STA processes
  • Acting as a key point of contact across the business, collaborating with underwriters, IT, and wider operational functions

  • A compliance professional with solid experience in a regulated insurance (ideally Lloyds syndicate environment – preferably legal indemnity, probate, or real estate focused
  • Someone confident, detail-oriented, and self-motivated – you’ll be trusted to take the lead and work independently
  • An easy-going and diligent operator who thrives in a smaller business with minimal red tape and a flexible, agile approach
  • Exposure to working in a hybrid model and comfortable being hands-on across the business
  • Proven ability to influence, advise, and support senior stakeholders

About the Role
We are working with a medium-sized housing association based in London to recruit a Compliance Officer specialising in fire safety. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong data management and contract administration skills to support the organisation's fire safety compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing compliance with fire safety regulations, including Active Fire Safety, AOV systems, Alarm Systems, Emergency Lighting, and Evacuation Systems.
  • Oversee the administration and coordination of fire safety contracts, ensuring all contractor obligations are met.
  • Maintain and update compliance databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Upload fire safety certificates and other essential documents into the database.
  • Book orders and schedule appointments with contractors and residents.
  • Communicate with contractors and residents to resolve access issues and ensure timely completion of fire safety work.
  • Support the Compliance Team in monitoring contractor performance and compliance with service level agreements.
  • Support ongoing compliance projects and contribute to improving fire safety procedures.
  • Use Microsoft Dynamic 365 for data management and administrative tasks.


What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in compliance or contract administration, preferably within a social housing environment.
  • Strong data management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with fire safety compliance processes (desirable but not essential to be technically qualified).
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills to coordinate with contractors and residents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamic 365 is a plus.

Compliance Officer (6 month-FTC / potential permanent) opportunity working with a top performing specialty insurer. You will play a key role in ensuring the business meets all regulatory, legislative and contractual obligations, including delegated authority agreements with insurers. Key Responsibilities: Manage delegated underwriting agreements and co-manage delegated claims agreements with the Claims Manager. Liaise with insurers on renewals, compliance issues and required changes. Monitor and communicate regulatory/legislative developments. Identify and address compliance risks, providing guidance, support and training. Keep policies, procedures and manuals up to date. Develop and maintain an audit framework; conduct reviews and implement corrective actions. Act as key contact for external audits and oversee follow-up actions. Assess adequacy of internal systems, processes and record keeping. Provide compliance input on products, services and procedures. Support complaints handling and embed lessons learned. Work closely with operational teams to ensure compliance supports business activity. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: 5 years in a broad compliance role within insurance. Relevant qualification (ACII/ICA) desirable. Strong knowledge of FCA Handbook, FSMA and related regulations (IDD, GDPR, SMCR). Experience with compliance monitoring systems. Experience drafting service agreements/delegated authorities (desirable).
