Factory Cleaner wanted to work as part of a small team in a fast-growing, ambitious business within in Felinfach, Near Lampeter.

Temporary position
Immediate start
Working Hours  Days working Hours 7am to 7pm following a shift pattern including weekends - flexibility is required
£12.79 per hour plus holiday pay

What you will be doing 
  • Factory Cleaners will play an important role for the company, working across all production areas and be responsible for cleaning of processing equipment and production lines to meet required standards.
  • You will carry out hygiene duties internally and externally as instructed across the whole site.
  • You will carry out routine hygiene work in a designated area of the factory specified on daily and weekly work sheets.

  • IT literate
  • To display a positive 'can do' attitude

    Desirable
  • Fork lift truck licence advantageous
  • Dairy Hygiene Certification
  • HACCP Awareness advantageous

  • You must have own transport or live within a 40 minute commute to the site due to limited public transport links
  • Proof of Right to Work in the UK will be required  (Unfortunately this company is unable to sponsor Visas)
  • Satisfactory reference for successful candidates will also be required before commencement of assignment

Hygiene Operative

With our continued growth and on-going development, there has never been a better time to join us.

Working within the food industry, the purpose of the role is to ensure that high levels of hygiene exists for all production machinery, plant and facilities, which will involve high and low level cleaning of walls, floors, fittings, drains and other equipment as required. As a key team member, you will work across all production areas and be responsible for ensuring that all machines, fixtures, fittings and buildings meet strict standards of hygiene at all times.

Please note this position involves working in a temperature controlled (3 to 5ºc) environment and will involve periods of long standing. Occasional heavy lifting will also be required.

We currently have vacancies on our night shift, 6pm to 6am. This would be on a 4 on, 4 off, 12 hour shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deep cleaning of production areas & associated equipment
  • Ensure accurate cleaning records at all times
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times
  • Ensure all hygiene tools are clean, fit for purpose and hygienically stored
  • Ensure any cleaning chemicals used are stored correctly
  • Record and report any hygiene or food safety concerns or incidents
  • Ensure that COSHH regulations and all health, safety and company policies are adhered to
  • Provide support to the rest of the hygiene team as necessary
  • Focus on continuous improvement 

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of conducting cleaning practices and previous hygiene work experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • An understanding of the fresh food sector (Desirable)
  • CIEH Food Safety Level 2 (Desirable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, repair, and commission Heat Interface Units (HIUs).
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on communal and district heating systems.
  • Maintain heating controls, including Y Plan, S Plan, thermostats, programmers, motorised valves, and smart controls.
  • Install and maintain radiators, pumps, valves, and associated plumbing systems.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
  • Complete commissioning, system balancing, and performance testing.
  • Maintain accurate job records using PDA/mobile devices.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while working safely and in line with company procedures.


About You

  • City & Guilds Level 2/3 Plumbing qualification.
  • Formal Water Regulations/WRAS qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working on district heating systems.
  • Strong experience servicing and fault-finding on Heat Interface Units (HIUs).
  • Knowledge of communal heating systems, heating controls, and safe isolation procedures.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
