Job Description:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our clients’ team of facility cleaners. Facility cleaners are responsible for making sure their clients have a safe, clean and comfortable workplace around Gatwick Airport. The role covers wide scope of cleaning tasks across the which means you must bring the ability of react to various circumstances at short notice
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean areas include terminal, hangar and engineering base
- General cleaning duties
- Cleaning of company vehicles, machinery and equipment
- Able to take on ad-hoc, emergency work
Requirements:
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Experience in cleaning and/or similar roles
- Safety and performance driven
- Knowledge of airport operations will be an advantage
- Able to commit to the shift pattern & times

- Able to provide a basic DBS certificate

This is a hands-on role that involves working with cabin crew, loading teams, and flight schedules to ensure everything is in place and on time for departure.

Key duties:

- Load catering equipment, food, and drink into aircraft galleys and vehicles
- Apply security seals to trolleys and equipment in line with client and regulatory requirements
- Brief crew on catering contents and respond to on-the-day changes or special requests
- Ensure all flight packs are packed to airline specifications and presentation standards
- Communicate clearly with team leaders, loaders, and crew to prevent delays
- Work safely, follow procedures, and maintain high hygiene standards (HACCP & COSHH)
- Carry, lift, and move equipment weighing up to 23kg
- Carry out general support duties across departments when required
- Always represent the brand professionally when working with airline clients
What we’re looking for:
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence (max. 3 points)
- Previous experience in the airline or aviation sector (ideally 1 year or more)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset
- A reliable team player who performs well under pressure
- Self-motivated and confident working independently when needed
- Good operational awareness and a basic understanding of HACCP, COSHH

JOB SUMMARY
This position ensures regulatory compliance is maintained in accordance with the Appropriate Authority who are responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the national civil aviation security program. This position assesses and screens packages to prevent and mitigate possible threats to personnel, aircraft, facilities, and customersu2019 packages. This position helps keep our personnel, packages, vehicles, aircraft, and facilities safe from unlawful acts against UPS and aircraft by applying and maintaining security controls. This position may use various screening technology, processes, and procedures to screen packages and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leverages knowledge of the all screening processes and regulations to ensure compliance.
Participates in and verifies daily equipment inspections and maintains a safe environment to ensure operational compliance and efficiency.
Comprehends and implements regulatory changes tools and materials to complete tasks.
Operates according to training and collaborates with co-workers to ensure smooth operation.
Performs effective screening using equipment and procedures, to prevent prohibited items from entering the air network.
Works within taut timelines ensuring all critical deadlines are met.
Works as part of a team to safeguard the air cargo network.
Delivers the screening process to ensure regulation and process compliance.
Escalates quality and process issues to ensure they are handled appropriately by their supervisor.
Monitors the general work areas adherence to processes and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
Successfully pass security checks, e.g., background, criminal records
Successfully pass Eye Test (color-blindness test)
Basic literacy & numeracy
Preferences:
Professional interest in Safety and Security
Sound judgement, decision making and good communication skills
Diligent and critical of detail

Experience working within X-Ray or similar nature of work
