  • Prepare, deliver and install planting schemes
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships

The Role

To lead the planting installations and deliver new and upgraded planting schemes before being handed over to our maintenance team.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Keen interest in horticulture industry
  • Prior experience in planting or horticulture installations is desirable
  • Knowledge of green walls and irrigation systems would be ideal but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills

This apprenticeship is a full-time position within our Parks and Open space Services team. The successful candidate will work towards the completion of their Certificate III in Parks and Gardens. This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience developing practical skill in the maintenance and care for councils parks, open space gardens and public trees. This role is offered as an apprenticeship and is open to new starters and continuing apprentices in 1st or 2nd year of the same qualification.

This Role Involves

  • Parks and Garden Maintenance.
  • Carry out works in accordance with the Work Health and Safety act and Parks Procedures.
  • Comply with responsibilities relating to the terms of the Training Contract as an Apprentice (training attendance and attainment of competencies).
