What will you do as Logistics and Supply Chain Co-ordinator

• Managing all inbound and outbound logistics
• Responsible for accurate, timely, and cost-effective movements of goods
• Liaise with major retail partners to manage booking-in between 3PL and retailers
• Update retailer portals
• Collate/validate all import/export documentation incl commercial invoices, BOL & packing lists
• Manage deliveries into Amazon

What will you need to be a Logistics and Supply Chain Co-ordinator

• Worked with a high volume SKU count
• Experience in logistics, freight within an ecommerce setting
• Have both import and export technical knowledge
• Advanced Excel
• Familiar with ERP, retailer portals and inventory programs

Responsibilities of the Supply Chain & Logistics Manager:

Supervising the movement of goods, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analysing data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.
Recruiting, onboarding, training and management of supply chain and despatch team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and other departments.
Ensuring all supply chain and logistics activities comply with relevant regulations, safety guidelines, and ethical standards.
Understand and implement health and safety procedures
Identify, plan and manage logistics projects that will improve efficiency, resilience and performance

Our client provides commercial furniture from their office based in Essex. This role combines team leadership across procurement, freight forwarding, and end-to-end project execution within the contract furniture sector. The Logistics & Supply Chain Manager will orchestrate the seamless movement of goods—from sourcing materials and managing global shipments from China to delivering furniture to the warehouse in Essex, while ensuring every client project runs on time, on budget, and to specification.

The ideal candidate brings operational excellence, vendor negotiation skills, logistical precision, and project coordination expertise to a design-forward, deadline-driven environment.

You will have managed the entire supply chain process from obtaining quotes to relay to the sales team, to placing the orders and then managing the logistics from China to the UK. Once the stock has been received in the Warehouse in Essex then the in-bound process ends and is handed over.
