Our client, a well-established legal firm with a specialism in landlord and tenant law, is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their friendly, collaborative Barry-based team. This is an additional role to support their expanding housing law caseload.



Key Responsibilities

  • Handle landlord and tenant residential cases, providing knowledgeable advice on notices, HMO regulations, injunctions (access and anti-social behaviour)
  • Assist clients with rent repayment orders, disrepair claims, harassment, unlawful eviction issues, and trespass cases
  • Support enforcement actions involving High Court Sheriffs and bailiffs
  • Work on cases involving company-let agreements, particularly local authority transitions
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence clearly and professionally

Our client based in Huntingdon are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their busy Conveyancing team. This is a full time permanent role working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.   The successful candidate will support solicitors in handling a caseload of residential or commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion. This role requires strong legal knowledge, excellent client care, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Paralegal role include but not limited to:

  • Assisting with the progression of conveyancing files from instruction to post-completion
  • li>Drafting and preparing legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
  • Conducting legal research and handling property searches (e.g., Land Registry, local authority).

The Paralegal duties will involve: -

  • Assisting with the processing of all enquiries and dealing with all aspects of a case from initial instruction to completion, ensuring the smooth and profitable running of the practice.

  • Attending Court with Counsel and assisting Counsel during Court session as required.

  • Preparation of bundles.

  • Time recording promptly all work carried out.
  • Assisting other Fee Earners in their cases when requested.
  • Processing, distributing and answering mail correspondence and telephone communications and archiving of old files.

You will need: -

  • Previous Paralegal experience within a Family Law team including Legal Aid is essential.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to prioritise your own workload but also able to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to stay calm whilst working under pressure.
  • To be discreet and tactful.
  • Self-motivated and able to use your own initiative.
  • Confident IT skills.
  • Good administration and organisational skills.

In return for your hard work, our client is offering a salary of £27,000pa and 24 days holiday which rises with service.  The working hours for this role are 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
