Important: All applicants must be able to obtain Security Clearance and must hold British Nationality as their primary nationality.
Working: The role offers flexible working but does require engineers on site for 3 days per week and is a on secure site where SC clearance is needed.
Overview : As the Test Architect you will be responsible for ensuring that design for test considerations are applied during the project development and specifying all system level factory, in-service and BIT routines. Whilst working closely with the manufacturing and design teams to ensure the final product is fully testable and to understand/minimise gaps in test coverage.
The opportunity:
- Take ownership of the test and testability aspects of the product.
- Generate and manage compliance with lower-level test requirements for design teams, including test access needs, BIT coverage/timings, and factory test functionality.
- Analyse and model the system to determine test coverage and generate diagnostic instructions.
- Work closely with the Chief Design Engineer to make cost vs test coverage trade-offs.
What we're looking for from you:
- Experience of test, electrical or electronic engineering.
- Proven experience in test, testability and test architecture.
- Experience in gathering requirements, overseeing projects and creating plans.
- Customer engagement.
