Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of complex, multi-stream SuccessFactors projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business outcomes and high client satisfaction.
  • Operate as a senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) across the SuccessFactors suite, leading engagements from discovery and design through to deployment and post-go-live support.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on best practices, solution optimisation, and roadmap planning to maximise value from their SuccessFactors investments.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, including functional consultants, technical teams, and offshore delivery centres, ensuring high-quality execution and governance.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and influencing key stakeholders to drive change and innovation.
  • Contribute to business development activities including client presentations, RFP responses, solutioning, and commercial discussions.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and the adoption of emerging SAP technologies and ecosystem tools.
  • Actively contribute to internal capability building through mentoring, coaching, and leading knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Represent NTT DATA Business Solutions as a thought leader via industry events, webinars, whitepapers, blogs, and contributions to SAP and partner forums.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of professional experience with SAP HCM / SuccessFactors, including deep, hands-on expertise in Employee Central with strong cross-module knowledge (e.g. Recruiting, Onboarding, Time Management, Payroll, Compensation).
  • Multiple end-to-end implementations of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central in lead or principal consultant capacity, ideally in complex or multi-country environments.
  • Professionally Certified in SuccessFactors Employee Central with at least one additional certification in another SucessFactors module.
  • Extensive experience in data migration strategies, integrations (e.g. SAP BTP, middleware), and SuccessFactors reporting (including People Stories / Stories in People Analytics).
  • Strong knowledge of SuccessFactors implementation methodology and experience managing full project lifecycles, including risk and issue management.

The role

The SAP S/4 HANA Finance Data Expert is responsible for coordinating business data requirements within the related S/4HANA design process, providing best practice data concept proposals into the design process, defining and documenting relevant S/4 Enterprise Data Standards, and ensuring that existing SAP data is ready to migrate to S/4 HANA.

The role is aligned to the Enterprise Process Owner (EPO) Enterprise Planning and Management Reporting (EP&MR) organisation and supports the EP&MR Data Design Lead in cementing the relationship between the S/4 Data & Analytics organisation and the EPO organisation, whilst proactively engaging with the wider business (including data offices and governance forums) to ensure that the S/4 data design meets business requirements, aligns to SAP standard where possible, and supports efforts to achieve a Quality Core.

The role will support the implementation of design concepts for key data objects such as Profit Centres, Cost Centres, WBS elements and Margin Analysis characteristics (COPA fields) as we deploy in our ‘pioneer markets’.


Typical Accountabilities

  • Define, document relevant S/4HANA target state business data standards by providing data subject matter expertise into the global process design cycle, ensuring process designs align with S/4HANA data best practice concepts and process data requirements are collected and consolidated into robust data documentations.
  • Apply data, process and object expertise to support EP&MR related S/4 process design, acting as an integral part of the EP&MR EPO design & data teams, considering both business process and analytics requirements to support best business practice.
  • Collect and share relevant ‘as-is’ data structures and harmonisation assessments alongside best practice to-be Data Design proposals and feed into the Global Design process.
  • Involvement in supporting / advising on the change journey from current to future state data design including completion of change impact assessments and outline of critical use case examples.
  • Ensure data within EP&MR Data Domain complies with the S/4 HANA Data Governance Framework and AZ Global Data Standards.
  • Support the prioritisation of data delivery as related to EP&MR , reporting on progress to EP&MR Data Design Lead and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Support relationship with current business data capability to ensure that S/4 design and the wider enterprise data design remain aligned (to include supporting interim state).
  • Assist and contribute to the development of the S/4 Cleanse and Migrate approaches and plans.
  • Support the cleanse and enrichment approach for data within EP&MR Data Domain in accordance with the overall data cleanse strategy.
  • Provide support to project data migration processes, including the co-ordination of pre & post load business sign off.
  • Support & assist the S/4 Data Governance team in the creation of effective global procedures to ensure that each data asset within EP&MR Data context is governed throughout its lifecycle.


Essential for the role

  • Familiarity with SAP or S/4 HANA data constructs relevant to planning and management reporting such as Profit Centre, Cost Centre, Product Hierarchies, COPA / Margin Analysis.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of how business data requirements support process execution and analytics, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to business users.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering business outcomes in a global, matrix organisation.
  • Demonstrable SAP working knowledge across transactions and reporting in an SAP environment, including an understanding of how data integrates within an SAP architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a diverse, global team, within and across functions. Experience with global working and across cultures.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to support negotiations across a complex group, to a target outcome for EP&MR.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise to ensure goals and outcomes are achieved.
  • Qualified accountant with experience of planning and management reporting.

Based in the beautiful Scottish Borders (circa 1 hour south of Edinburgh), Grw Talent's client is a well established global manufacturer of pre-connectorised, blown fibre cable, and ducted network solutions and is at the forefront of the fibre-to-the-X industry. They have two sites in Scotland and form part of an international business stretching into the USA and Middle-East. As part of their future state planning the business has taken the decision to install SAP Hana4. In order to make this transition smoother post installation the Scottish operation needs to recruit a SAP Consultant on a contract/project basis.
 
Reporting to the Scottish General Manager and Chief Supply Chain Officer, the SAP Consultant will work closely with the extended site management team and colleagues from all levels across the business. This project is best described as a post installation efficiency / turnaround project. There is a particular emphasis on better integrating the Extended Warehouse Module (EWM) and helping the business benefit from smoother transition and to get back to steady state ASAP. Key responsibilities will include:
  • A full assessment and review of the project implementation and roll out so far.
  • Work closely with supply chain, demand planning, customer support and logistics on the full order to call processes and systems.
  • Coach/mentor and train colleagues across the business on how best to integrate, interrogate and execute tasks on the EWM module post installation.
  • Work closely with the key site leadership team to better role out and integrate the system starting with the EWM before potentially advising on other modules.
  • Help the business to understand the complexities and capability of the system and instil a culture of best practice use and adoption.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in the business to support colleagues, free up their time and foster a steady state of planning and execution.
  • Help build out and ensure relevant reporting tools, processes and capabilities are working and providing the right data, at the right time to the right people.
We are looking for a proven SAP Consultant / SAP Project Manager / SAP Programme Manager with experience of the Hana4 SAP system and essentially the Extended Warehouse Module / EWM. This will suit candidates who have supported clients on post installation turnaround, training, efficiency giving and saving or improvement projects. Ideally, you have worked across engineering, manufacturing, technology, FMCG, pharma or utilities SAP implementation.
 
Candidates will need to have good soft people leadership / management experience and be able to coach, mentor, listen and train people working under pressure at this time. A good hands-on / will do supportive attitude is crucial and you need to be comfortable communicating at all levels across two busy volume manufacturing environments.

Our client envisages this project to last minimum 3-6 months but there is a very real chance it might be extended for the right person and where it is clear you are able to deliver real value. As such, daily pay rate and potential expenses are negotiable at this time. We will need the candidate to be on site four days per week with one day working from home.
