TeacherActive are proud to be working with a primary school who are seeking to appoint a committed and conscientious administrator to provide a key role in managing our busy school office for a maternity cover.  The post requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with children, colleagues, parents and visitors. Duties will include full administration support for the school, managing financial administration procedures, taking a lead role in planning, monitoring and evaluation of the school budget. They are looking for someone to join them who will enjoy working in a friendly school where being part of a team is essential. The role is part-time initially, and there may be an opportunity to work additional hours in the busier periods

Key Responsibilities and Tasks: 

  • to attend and support meetings of all committees of the Governing Body when requested to do so;

School Administrator to work for an academy trust in Birmingham. This role will be covering maternity leave for 8-9 months. This role will mainly be supporting the facilities department and completing administrative duties.

Main duties in a school administrator role:

  • Answering phone calls - good phone mannerisms required
  • Monitoring emails
  • Overlooking school visitors signing in/out
  • Taking calls regarding absences and informing relevant staff
  • Passing information between relevant teachers/parents/pupils
