As Head of Experience Test Engineering you'll be a key member of the Play Engineering Leadership Team, under the Product Innovation & Marketing Department and will have a critical role working closely with the Corporate Quality Team. Both teams are ensuring the delivery of seamlessly integrated digital user experiences at scale in collaboration.
Core Responsibilities:
Working with Engineering colleagues to ensure the rapid release of embedded systems, data pipeline, and mobile applications.development of software with a dedicated focus on testing methods to ensure scalability.
Collaborating closely with Corporate Quality teams to streamline end-to-end system test processes and establish collective KPIs and metrics
Establish and optimize cycle time for highly coupled hardware and software feature and experiences
Leading a team of test engineers and being a sparring partner for your team, leading high-quality delivery of technology-based systems from concept to the entire lifecycle of the elements.
Be a subject matter expert on managing and optimization the processes for building test methodologies and test-driven development
Establishing and maintaining well-functioning cross functional teams.
Act as a key influencer within the organization, leveraging strong stakeholder management to drive success across cross-functional teams
Drive critical program operations from its conceptualization to implementation, including but not limited to the system integration tests and the engineering excellence transformation initiatives
Fulfill people leadership responsibilities to ensure team is engaged, motivated and performs at their best: e.g., workforce planning & management, utilization, recruitment, on-boarding, performance & reward management, giving feedback, mentoring, coaching, team engagement & motivation, communications, change management and conflict resolution
What are we looking for?
Willingness to establish and lead a test engineering team, as part of a larger regional team and foster a positive culture, effective teamwork, and collaboration.
7+ years’ experience in people leadership including hiring, on-boarding, performance & reward management, coaching & mentoring.
Min 15 years of hands-on consumer electronics engineering test and quality management in robotics/ mechatronics, mechanical, electronics, systems, or a closely related field.
Have experience in establishing testing methodologies for highly coupled technology systems
Solid experience in leading a team and people in a related field focused on e.g., QA engineers, test engineers, in collaboration with multiple cross-organizational teams such as engineering, quality, procurement, and manufacturing
A can-do attitude, excellent communication, and motivational skills.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
Entrepreneurial spirit with passion for new technologies and to drive innovation.
Strategic and holistic thinker with attention to detail.
Ability and willingness to travel as necessary (approx. 20-30 days per year)
Nice to have:
Managed a team of 10+ test engineers
Knowledge of professional test systems engineering practices & best practices for the full development life cycle, including early ideation to entire lifecycle of the product
Technically savvy and must be able to have educated discussions with the team about cost, quality and scaling
Experience in working cross-functionally with internal and external partners
