What you'll do
The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to deliver new innovative sports focussed products to our significant customer base of sports fans. They will be able to identify trends in large datasets and develop models that can predict future outcomes. Additionally, they must be comfortable working with stakeholders across the Organisation to ensure their insights are effectively communicated and implemented.

Responsibilities :
  • Develops predictive models using advanced statistical techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, etc.
  • Analyses large datasets to uncover patterns and relationships between variables.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across the Organisation to understand their needs and develop appropriate solutions based on data analysis results.
  • Own the full lifecycle of ML solutions - designing, deploying, and maintaining models in production environments.
  • Monitors performance of existing models over time and adjust parameters accordingly for optimal results.
  • Stays up-to-date on industry trends related to data science technologies and best practices in order to recommend new approaches when necessary.
  • Build and integrate cloud-native components to expose models as scalable endpoints and publish inference results as events for downstream systems.
  • Establish and maintain robust MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, retraining strategies, and automated testing.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists and engineers on best practices for productionising machine learning.
What you'll bring
  • A strong collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across disciplines and contribute creatively
  • Have a good understanding of large language and multi-modal models.
  • Good experience in Python, Docker and developing in a cloud-based environment (ideally AWS)
  • A strong background in data analysis and machine learning, with proven experience, ideally 3 yrs+ architecting and building end-to-end ML systems for industry problems
  • AWS Machine Learning Certification desirable
  • Experi e nce using Infrastructure-as-Code to deploy ML solutions on AWS

About the Role

As SENCo, you will play a key role in the strategic development and implementation of SEND provision across the school. Working closely with the Headteacher and our on-site therapy team, you will ensure that pupils with autism, complex communication needs, and associated learning and emotional needs receive high-quality, individualised support.

  • Lead the delivery of the school’s SEND policy and inclusive practices

*This is a field-based role. For this position it is essential that all drivers have held a full driving licence for 2 years.

(Eligibility will be subject to a full DVLA licence check)

*Working Hours - 43hrs per week (flexi start and finish times). Working pattern Monday – Friday (working 1 Saturday in 3, at overtime rate)

Specific Skills The job requires a basic knowledge of the four main product elements (Engines, Hydraulics, Powertrain, and Vehicle Electrics/Electronics) relating to servicing and repair of heavy mobile plant (or similar e.g Heavy Goods Vehicle)

Accountability To attend customer locations as advised by controller, to carry out preventive maintenance servicing. To liaise with service controller and customer both at the outset and as work progresses. To ensure that all work is carried out to high standards and that equipment is safe before handing back to customer.

Ensure equipment is serviced in line with manufacturers recommendations and that all associated paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner including recording customer signatures.

Take proper care of company vehicle and equipment.

Education and Experience Either direct experience (around 3 years) or working in a related engineering function, e.g. car mechanic, HGV fitter, Agricultural Engineer former REME or experience on military vehicles such as recovery mechanic or a formal apprenticeship qualification that includes at least C&G level 1, formal training in health & Safety desirable but not essential as further training will be given.

This position is a great opportunity for engineers with transferable skills looking to get into the plant industry. Training for the role will be provided, there are opportunities for employees in this role to progress into a field service position in the future following further development.
