As a key member of the Enterprise Technology Identity and Access Management team, you will help set the direction of Sky's Identity and Access Management (IAM) roadmap and strategy as we expand the platform (One Identity) to different business areas within Sky Group. As a key member of the Enterprise Technology Identity and Access Management team, you will help set the direction of Sky's Identity and Access Management (IAM) roadmap and strategy as we expand the platform (One Identity) to different business areas within Sky Group. You will be an authentication and access management specialist who will be comfortable developing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient IAM systems for our internal stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and implement IAM solutions using One Identity Manager, including custom scripts and connectors for identity sources like Active Directory, LDAP, and HR systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure IAM solutions meet business needs, security standards, and regulatory compliance, while maintaining change control throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of the IAM stack to identify and resolve security gaps, and provide evidence to auditors as required.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, NCSC), proactively recommending upgrades and improvements to senior stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members, supporting best practices in authentication, access control, and identity lifecycle management.
- Develop and deliver technical documentation and training materials to support platform adoption across Sky Group.
- Extensive hands-on experience with One Identity Manager and other Identity Governance tools, with strong knowledge of IAM protocols (LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
- Proficiency in cross-platform scripting (e.g., T-SQL, PowerShell, Bash) and integration with on-premise/cloud directory services (Azure AD, GSuite, LDAP).
- Deep understanding of legacy and modern authentication protocols, access controls, and identity lifecycle management.
- Strong security awareness and familiarity with standards such as ISO27001, NIST, and CIS, with experience conducting audits and implementing controls.
- Solid grasp of Web APIs including SOAP, REST, and GraphQL, and their role in IAM integrations.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work autonomously on complex projects.

- Be the Lead on multiple delivery projects while work on day-to-day BAU and support tasks.
- Proactively create and deliver infrastructure as code to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of our internal or customer-facing services
- Lead Troubleshooting and problem solving
- Create new designs, architectures and standards for new projects or solutions to improve current infrastructure, and contribute to the stability and security of the environment
- Help with capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning, defining processes and best practices for reliable and timely delivery
- Communicate work status regularly with a clear articulation of design choices along the way.
- Experience in solving technical issues, managing technical projects, and mentoring engineers
- Experience working in a multi technical SRE department, with the ability to break down complex problems and find practical solutions

The SRE team, is responsible for the implementation and administration of the infrastructure for the Video On Demand (VOD) content. The infrastructure consists of many technology stacks, i.e., AWS, GCP, Cassandra, Kafka, etc. which provides a great opportunity to learn and develop code to implement and administrate the technologies
What you'll do
- Be the Lead on multiple delivery projects while work on day-to-day BAU and support tasks.
- Proactively create and deliver infrastructure as code to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of our internal or customer-facing services
- Lead Troubleshooting and problem solving
- Create new designs, architectures and standards for new projects or solutions to improve current infrastructure, and contribute to the stability and security of the environment
- Help with capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning, defining processes and best practices for reliable and timely delivery
- Communicate work status regularly with a clear articulation of design choices along the way.
- Experience in solving technical issues, managing technical projects, and mentoring engineers
- Experience working in a multi technical SRE department, with the ability to break down complex problems and find practical solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills which will allow you to collaborate with stakeholders and communicate effectively with your peers
- The ambition to excel in a fast-paced, constantly changing digital environment
- A proven track record of technical and mentoring role
- Technical Competency in the following areas:
- Linux System Administration (Ubuntu)
- Monitoring (Prometheus/Nagios/Icinga).
- Cloud Platforms - deploying and automation (AWS/GCP)
- Networking (LB/Routing/Switching)
- Databases - (SQL/NoSQL). Cassandra knowledge would be great to have
- Scripting/ System-Programming - (Python/Bash/Go/Java)
- Configuration management - (Ansible/ Terraform)
- CI/CD (Jenkins/ Concourse/ gitlab-ci/ github actions)

- Deliver observable, reliable and secure software, adopting you build it you run it mentality, and focus on automation.

- Work with Principal Engineers and Architects to share and supply to the broader technical vision.
- Support and mentor less experienced members of the team.
- Track record of delivering complex, production quality applications.

- Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud technologies.
- Strong Test Driven Development background, with understanding of levels of testing required to continuously deliver value to production
