Salary: £25,000 – £5,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, occasional Saturdays

As a Car Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to a high standard. You will work across a wide range of makes and models, completing both mechanical and electrical repairs, MOT preparation, and routine servicing.

• Carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles

• Perform mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, clutches, engines, and gearboxes

• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in line with health & safety procedures

• Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail

• Communicate effectively with the service team and customers as required

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)

• Proven experience as a vehicle technician or mechanic

• Confident in diagnosing and repairing faults independently

• MOT testing qualification desirable but not essential

• Reliable, hardworking, and a team player with a strong work ethic

• Competitive salary between £2 000 - 8,000 , depending on experience

• Monday to Friday working hours with occasional Saturday cover

• Friendly working environment with long-term stability

Duties of a Vehicle Technician

In this role, you will be working in the workshop team to ensure vehicle servicing and repairs are completed accurately and efficiently. Reporting to the Service Manager , you will be responsible for:

1. Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
2. Performing thorough vehicle health checks and reporting issues to the Service Advisor
3. Working to manufacturer service and repair standards
4. Completing job cards and service reports with accuracy
5. Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations

Skills and experience of a Vehicle Technician

As a Vehicle Technician , you need to have experience with:

1. Routine vehicle maintenance and mechanical repairs
2. Diagnostic systems and fault-finding processes

It would be beneficial to the Vehicle Technician role if you also had:

1. NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
2. MOT Tester certification (Class 4)
3. Manufacturer-specific training (desirable but not essential)
