The Opportunity
At Sephora, we’re more than just a beauty destination - we’re a people-first business. We're looking for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our Retail HR team and help shape a workplace culture where our people feel supported, heard, and empowered to thrive.
In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to our Store leadership and employees, managing complex employee relations cases, supporting engagement initiatives, and ensuring our policies reflect both legal compliance and best practice. You’ll play a key part in driving a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture across our UK retail network.
You Will Also Be Responsible For
- Leading on employee relations matters including investigations, grievances, and disciplinary cases - ensuring fair, timely, and consistent resolution
- Partnering with HR Business Partners to support Store Managers and field leaders in managing employee matters effectively and confidently
- Reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK employment law and alignment with our people-first values
- Coaching and upskilling managers in employee relations best practice, conflict resolution, and effective communication
- Supporting engagement and inclusion initiatives that foster a positive working environment across our stores
- Analysing ER trends and data, identifying opportunities to improve culture, policies and ways of working
- Delivering clear, confident guidance to all levels of the business on sensitive or complex people issues
With deep experience in employee relations, you bring a strong understanding of UK employment law, HR best practice and how to support managers through the full spectrum of employee issues. You’re confident navigating complex and sensitive situations, always acting with discretion, empathy and professionalism.
You’re a natural communicator and coach, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels. Whether you’re drafting policy, leading an investigation, or training managers on how to have better conversations - you’re focused on driving positive outcomes and creating a great place to work.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced communicator to join our internal communications and employee engagement team? This team sits in our brand and comms function? This role will lead the strategic planning and delivery of internal communications and engagement across UK business.
?About Role:
The role is wide-ranging and varied? You will work closely with senior leadership, HR, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), the Inclusion & Diversity Committee and other stakeholders to deliver impactful communication plans that support business goals and enhance the employee experience? You will deliver events (both physical and remote), write compelling content, oversee internal social events and manage engagement platforms - to name but a few?
Most importantly, this role is responsible for ensuring that key internal messages are delivered effectively and promptly? It is responsible for creating communications that are clear, engaging and inclusive to all? ?It is responsible for championing employee engagement activities and ensuring they bring our values to life?
This role will have one direct report, an internal communications coordinator? They will be responsible for line managing, developing and delegating work to this person.
Responsibilities:
+ Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy with a unifying internal narrative that aligns communications to business strategy, celebrates success and reinforces our values and purpose . Deliver this strategy using all suitable internal channels in a way that reflects our internal tone of voice and visual identity .
+ Partner with the Senior Leadership Team, HR and departmental leads to collate and align messaging priorities and ensure consistent and timely dissemination of key messages? Able to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion, sound judgement and professionalism.
+ Bring a rigorous approach to measurement and reporting of communications channels and engagement? This includes employee feedback and sentiment, analysis of communication performance and the regular testing and optimisation of communications.
+ Supporting internal stakeholders and ERGs to bring their employee engagement visions and our I&D strategy to life? This might include the planning and execution of events , the develop ment of inclusive communication plans and craft ing messag es that reflect our I&D values.
+ Play a lead role in driving engagement and improving the employee Net Promoter Score ( eNPS ) through targeted initiatives? These might include employee recognition awards, CPD lunches and briefings for new starters? Act as the main point of contact for ERGs - driving engagement and participation.
+ Coordinate major internal events such as all employee Town Halls, Leadership briefings and Senior Leadership Roundtables
+ Provide line management and coaching to the Internal Communications Coordinator, supporting their development, performance and contribution.
Requirements:
+ Proven experience in internal communications and events, preferably within a corporate or matrixed environment.
+ Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills.
+ Enjoy taking ownership for projects and initiatives - particularly thriving when collaborating with teams to achieve their goals.
+ Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
+ Passion for employee engagement, inclusion and organisational culture.
+ Data-driven mindset with experience in performance tracking and reporting.
+ Able to deal with multiple priorities from senior stakeholders in a rapidly changing environment where there may be ambiguity.

+ Comfortable experimenting with new technologies and digital tools to enhance communication effectiveness, including AI-assisted content or platform innovations.
