Location: Near Royston
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm (can be negotiated/flexible)
Hourly Rate: £13.00 per hour+ (DOE)
Our high-end client based near Royston are looking for a Factory Operative to join their growing team and business on a Temp to Perm basis. The successful candidate must ideally come from a Food Manufacturing background, and have experience within Production, Manufacturing, and Machine Operations, showing good dexterity and willingness to progress into a Supervisory role.
Main duties as a Factory Operative:
- Operate and run different machinery across the food production line (full training given)
- Follow strict company policies and procedures, ensuring all Food and Health & Safety standards are met
- Report any machine faults and production imperfections to the Production Management
- Place production into their specific packaging, ensuring all bags are correctly sealed before moved onto dispatch
- Follow their 'clean as you go' policy to high standards
- Box and label finished production upon finalisation
- Ensure all correct PPE is worn correctly when provided
- Maintain a high level of communication between yourself and the Production team
What's needed as a Factory Operative:
- Previous experience working within a Food Manufacturing environment
- A strong background within machine operations and working along production lines
- Physically fit, being able to stand on your feet for long periods of time and lifting heavy loads
- A good understanding of Food Safety & Quality, as well as Health & Safety awareness
- Extensive ability to use your own initiative, and open to progression to Line/Production Supervisory
- Open to working earlier or later hours, potentially starting or closing the Production Lines
- MUST be able to drive due to company location
- Ideally available immediately and available to start ASAP
