We are currently partnering with a public sector organisation in Coventry , who are recruiting for an Insurance & Risk Manager to join their team on an interim basis.
The contract will initially be for 6-months , but has potential to be extended, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply for the permanent role.
The successful candidate will be required to attend office a minimum of 2 days p/week, and they're offering a daily rate of circa £400 p/day via an Umbrella company.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Strategically leading the insurance function for the organisation
- Arranging adequate and cost-effective cover for key internal and external stakeholders
- Processing insurance claims within established timescales, on a range of matters, including motor, liability, personal accident, school contents etc.
- Managing the renewal process
- Leading on risk management processes for the organisation, including responsibility for the risk register
- Liaising with key stakeholders, including insurers, solicitors, claimants and internal colleague, when queries arise on claims
Experience required:
- Must have previous experience working in an in-house insurance role, public sector would be preferable
- Claims handling
Working hours:
- 37 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm (flexible)
