As a crucial member of the finance team, reporting into the Director of Finance. The Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the team and implement the business finance strategy, ensuring that the business has highly effective finance processes, controls, and reporting procedures, which in turn will drive efficiency and excellence, resulting in business delivering a world-class finance function. You will be required to manage corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts, internal control and the day to day running of the finance function. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Go-to technical finance person within the business
  • Establish best-in-class month-end process, prepare the monthly management accounts and oversee bookkeeping activities
  • Manage our financial systems, policies, and processes
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements (such as UK GAAP/IFRS) as well as compliance from a tax perspective across the globe
  • Maintenance of balance sheet to a very high level of detail. Including: AP/AR balances, inventory balances, and accruals and prepayments
  • Prepare the year-end Financial Accounts and liaise with Auditors for both our UK and US entities
  • Implementation and maintenance of robust internal control systems across the organisation by identifying problems, improving practices, and writing new procedures
  • Support in the preparation of annual budgets and business forecasts
  • Liaise with 3rd parties where required, including accountants, auditors, banks, lenders, tax advisers and investors
  • Oversee AP/AR processes to ensure consistent and strong cashflows
  • Oversight of company expense policy, and approval of employee expenses

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified professional
  • Previous experience in Food/Retail/FMCG/ desirable
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to tell a story and go beyond the analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting
  • Experience in preparing both statutory and management accounts, and experience of consolidation for a multi-entity business

About your role

As a Senior consultant with CRL team, your role will include the following:

Delivery of SAP enabled transformation programmes - specialising in Order to cash including integration touch points with the wider S/4 Finance and other adjacent modules like SAP CAR, SAP MM, SAP EWM and SAP FI

Supporting Order to Cash pursuits and practice development

Deliver SAP CAR solutions to support business use cases like real-time inventory visibility, POS data integration, demand sensing and other critical processes for retail, CPG and logistics clients

Working with workstreams comprised of onshore and offshore resources

Designing end-to-end solutions and ensuring all deliverables produced are consistent with design principles, standards and methodologies 

Supporting client workshops covering a range of topics including process design, industry best practices and bring SME knowledge in your area of expertise

Building end to end solutions based on client requirements, and documenting functional specifications where a development object is required

Requirements

Have a reasonable level of business skill set including stakeholder management, problem-solving, and resilience in the CRL Industry and S/4HAN driven implementations

Have experience in gathering, validating, synthesizing, documenting, and communicating data and information for a range of audiences

Have excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills in country’s official language(s) (C2 proficiency) and English (C2 proficiency), project-related mobility/willingness to travel

Have demonstrable experience of delivering S/4HANA as part of a transformation programme. Strong knowledge of S/4HANA configuration and best practices with a background in Sales and Distribution and Order to Cash (OTC). Integration with desirable adjacent solutions like SAP CAR, SAP MM, SAP EWM and SAP FI advisable.

Have demonstrable experience of agile working practices on SAP implementation, along with planning of activities during the project

Have experience of facilitating a design workshop and then translating the requirements into design

Have strong client-facing skills and ability to effectively contribute through all phases of SAP implementation

Embrace flexibility, adaptability, and a process improvement approach

Have strong communication and presentation skills

Have proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of the current trends and technical advancements

Have a strong track record of professional success, preferably in the Consulting Services
